Happy Thanksgiving one and all.

At my home we're going to take the sage advice of my badly missed friend and mentor Bob Kamps.

Never talk about politics or religion with a friend. Why would you want to mess up a good relationship with crap like that?

Peace.

This year we are doing a sensitive feast. Instead of using possibly offensive references like butterball, leg and thigh, breast, white and dark meat, stuff the turkey, pass the platter, drippings, vegetable, hot muffins, and gravy boat, we are using sign language during the meal itself.

We are celebrating with a boneless tofu turkey roast and salad. After dinner all are invited to participate gender neutral, religious and politic free conversations. Fertilizer is an approved topic, climbing is too, if it is inclusive of sport, alpine, ice, mixed, bouldering, gym and trad climbing. Santa, Bigfoot and all other fake news is banned.

Happy Horseshitsgiving!

hey there say, ... yes, happy thanksgiving...

turning this into what it should be:

stop, at least one day a year, and be thankful that
we have a home and loved ones, and can share...

and, if 'no home and loved ones', one can be thankful
that one IS here for some reason, and 'looking for that reason'
CAN lead to thankfulness later...

just having breath, to FIND a trail, opens doors to
a future thanksgiving...

many that have been through this, DO know that...
so-- hopes that others may HAVE that chance, to know, as well...

i am thankful that my mom is still here...
that my friends are in my life...

and that i can see extended family, and other loved ones,
this year, and that i have folks to talk and email,
from all over the states, and out of country, as well...

oh, and for my pets, too,
and a yard to share with them... :)

Thanksgiving only exists in the consciousness of Americans. In the rest of the universe, it's just Thursday (or Jueves, if you happen to live in Argentina, or any number of other Spanish-speaking countries). A befitting holiday for postmodernism. Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving, Mike L!

One thing on my mind this year...turkey sandwiches for a week!I try not to do just the one day...I like to thank people and the Provider daily, when I remember to do so.

Cooking turkey in the oven is not my thing. Deep fried turkey is unreal, but you have to rent the rig and then you have all this left over oil. So here's my gig...

Well, . . . "Happy Thanksgiving," anyway.

I guess this means "Happy Holidays" next month will not be very welcomed either. :-|

Spanish-speaking countries have a different word for Thursday? Dang!

Just kidding, Happy Thanksgiving Yanqui! and ever'body.

I got roped into helping out with a big feast at the local park.(This is not virtue signaling)

Anywho, I'll guess after ladling out the gravy all day I'll have what everybody else is having.

Tomorrow is all about gratitude for me.

I hope all of you have a good day.

"Jesus dying on the cross for my sins, the forgiveness of my sins past, present and future. And the gift of eternal life."

That's a Hell of a trade off, right there.

I would say thanks but, I won't
