alright... HardlyVisible's bump of one of these threads and my lack of a decent trip report to atone for my politard ways, means i'm back in the salt mines.

a few points... i'll be switching the titles of these threads over from the index in the next bit so a few links won't work for a time as i continue to make the switch. should have stuck with supertopo climbing gold from the get go, but no time like the present to make a quick course correction... ie. don't get your knickers in a knot if some of the header links don't work for the next bit. let me know if any of the actual trip report links are no good, though... here is the thread that most recently preceded this one and which documents who suggested most of these: THE INDEX: 2. Trip Reports

while i'm with those that believe all trip reports are gold, i've nominated a bunch more that i've seen over the last yearish that really stood out to me and made me unusually stoked on one level or another...

the newest additions:

a great story from a man in his younger days in one of the great ranges: American Cowboys in Tibet - A 1987 Cho Oyu Expedition [Ney Grant: Oct. 18, 2016]
great photos of an/the iconic route: Attempt on Moonflower Buttress, Mount Hunter [KristofferSzilas: Nov. 27, 2015]
another rock star report from alpinista55 in ak: Mt. Huntington, West Face, Colton-Leech route [Alpinista55: Nov. 19, 2009]
great photos from the wind river range and beyond: Cowboys and Aliens in the American Elysium - A Wyoming Tale [Tvash: Feb. 18, 2014]
and now with speed: Evolution Traverse, Car-to-Car, Sub 24hrs [The Dak: Jun. 25, 2014]
low key, hardcore, no bull shIt: A lass solo on Zodiac [magda_o: Nov. 21, 2016]
i'd prob save time by just posting all of hudon's: Grape Race-Tribal Rite, Solo. 6/10, Trip Report [Mark Hudon: Aug. 25, 2010]
sharing cat gifs and some of the inner journey: A Very OT Astroman Report [Mei: May 19, 2016]
and an "oldie" but a goodie: A Laywoman's Account of Astroman [tahoe523: May 16, 2011]

feel free to post up any trip reports that have deeply struck your fancy and aren't already on here, and i'll add in due course...

^^^^

agreed. she's an all-star tr writer for sure...

in fact three of hers [the ruth gorge, yemen and cerntral asia trs] have already been nominated and are up there...

thanks for the suggestion, though... there are a half dozen or so tr writers who i've been thinking of listing due to a person basically not being able to go wrong reading anything they've put up [i already have links to lists of all of pellucid wombat and vitaliy's tr's up there for example]... and c_o_i would be another one of those for sure. so far i've got pellucid wombat, vitaliy, mark hudon, micronut, tahoe523, jello, yo, Jim Herson, Regan and chick_on_ice on that particular list that is currently residing only in my head... :)
