What routes should go on a list of the great climbing traverses of North America? Some obvious ones leap to mind:
The Grand Traverse, Cathedral Traverse, and Cloudveil Traverse in the Tetons
The Evolution Traverse in the Sierras
The Torment- Forbidden Travese in the Cascades

So, what are your favorites? Post 'em up, with photos if you can?

I would think the Palisade Traverse has to be on this list.

Starting with the SE of Pingora and ending up at Warbonnet in the Wind River range. I think R.Robbins did it with friends in 64 or so. Never done it, but I would like to do at least Pingora through the Wolf's head.

The Mohling traverse from the top Lone Eagle to Iroquois is a neglected one. Quite good though.

The Wine Traverse, in appropriate condition of the climber.

Seriously, the Palisades Traverse is one to which many aspire.

I personally love the bouldering traverse of Middle Cathedral Rock, which I first started working on in 1972. I see that Ron Kauk listed it as his favorite climb as well.

Here in the East, you won't havta worry about HAPE. But we do have three famous ones, the Presidential, the Great Range and the Devils Path.

But my fav, is this one. Slide, Cornell and Wittenburg in the Catskills. Do that on snow and ice as a loop and you're good.

The Wilsons are a classic traverse in SW Colorado. Wilson Peak to Gladstone to Mount Wilson to El Diente and then back to wherever the legal trail head of the moment is.

Another traverse that has yet to be done in its entirety is to follow the 13000 foot plus ridge line around the Telluride Valley from Campbell Peak to Palmyra Peak - the longest ridge continuously over 13,000 feet in the lower 48 states.

Lying somewhere between Canadian epics and buildering, Saber Ridge is pretty high on my ticklist.
