i just danced to
the entire 1812 overture
and in doing so
i added two
additional seconds
to the life of
our universe.
i just found them there.
they were idle
and without destiny.
so i blinked my
butterfly eyes
and grabbed them
by their hands
and we together
the three of us
danced beyond infinity.

When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

humble bunch.
i emotionally
integrate delusion,
confidence, and insecurity.
that's why all
the ladies here
have a crush on me.

plus im a veritable genius.
i recently paid off my house.
you wanna know how?
i applied to the state
for a graveyard permit
and now my front yard
sports headstones.
the state paid me
to use my land
and i charge kin-to-the-dead
a nominal fee.
my resident ghost
gave me the idea.
the curb appeal suffered a bit,
but the dirt
is alive.

Nice when you're young, healthy and arrogant. Not so good, when you're old, sick and humble.

i am invenerable
So the opposite of "venerable"?
ven·er·a·ble
ˈven(ə)rəb(ə)l/
adjective
accorded a great deal of respect, especially because of age, wisdom, or character.
Freudian slip? ;)

invenerable, meaning unable to receive love
in this case due to head up ass
you got it backwards, dog
oh, but you can't get it, forwards or back words
but you're right
i'm all humbled by your arrogance your assertion your confidence your decision
so why ARE we infeebier types here?
weave, bob, dodge, hem, and do a little haw-ing, too, and tell it like it is

from sea level over Mojave
across the Colorado Plateau
and above the Great Divide
come flittering and fluttering
to me
magnificent breasts and smiles and tanned freckles
the glowing eyes and kind words, with desire but no need,
of a woman that defined lust for me a
decade and a half ago, to whom I have never
spoken, with whom I've not embraced
summer will be good.

stages of my genius.

I've got damn little of that arrogance stuff in me,
but,
I'm kinda proud,
of where Heidi and I,
At City of Rocks,
On a smoky evening in August 2015.
Still are ok to look good,
after all these years.
