After 17 days of perfect weather I'm greeted this morning with some wet snowfall. Looks like a short lived event.....more good weather on the horizon.

It's a fast-mover. Go out and make you a snowman and I bet it will have stopped by ten.

i awoke to a thud, outside.
at first i thought it was seismic event
in my aching head,
but when i looked out the glass
i saw a bruised and injured jesus
on a bald spot on the lawn.
i a rose,
then got him an i a warm cup of coffee
and went outside.
he didn't say much,
other than he greased out
of heaven after a sweaty
easter redpoint attempt from the grave.
shucks, i said.
get it next time.
after that we didn't say anything else.
just finished our coffee and he walked off,
kinda light-like.
i looked around and wondered
if i should replant that bald spot
in case any more heaven decentionists
land in my yard.

Come on, give up the goods on the dry spots to hang out your stuff. I once went to practice solo aid somewhere under Elephant Rock. Didn't know that showers were in the forecast, and didn't see a drop of rain all day. Left my tent uncovered with the top unzipped in Camp 4. Oops. I wonder if people, long ago, used similar areas in pursuit of their endeavors.
Maybe an artifact, most likely history, but sorry about the fixed wire in your tick mark.
"Alpine" slosh SAR clinic? (pics please)
edit:
Just a Blue Camalot!!! multidirectional... hmmmm.. I'm definitely not following.

How many watts does it take the average climber to get up that? Or, I could have said, " Watt's the Generator Crack? " Or, Watt's Up?. Been there done that though.....just been awhile.
Good weather is weather with precip these days.

Another rainy day:
Racked up and ready to go for the second destination of the day, just twisting water out of the socks first:
Nothing like a hot wet crack on a rainy day:
And the peace from up top when it starts to clear:
Edit: This is from a trip a few years ago, just throwing out there to inspire folks who think that snowy/rainy days are not meant for climbing or exploring. If nothing else, it's a good time to check out that approach you never wanted to give up a climbing day to do.
