and by queer, that includes bisexuals, lesbians, ambisexuals, gays, trannies, questioners, not quite straight people, amphibians with crushes on cephalopods, or however you define yourself. and the best part is, you don’t even have to be a queer! we’ll take anyone! (but if you’re not queer, we require that you take a vow of silence to never speak of what you learn.)

Don't ask, don't tell?

Right.. don't ask.. don't tell...

Is it homophobic if someone just does not care what someone else is when dealing with them?

In other words, do I have to know someones sexuality in order to treat them like I would like to be treated? I don't think I have to know a thing about a persons sexuality in order to treat them with the same respect I'd treat a family member.
I carry this mindset into most every interaction I have.. serves me well, and make for more efficient discussions... instead of getting caught up in figuring out where each other is in the sexuality spectrum, we can discuss things that matter to us both. If nothing matters to us both, then we can move on.

LOL! Really like the choice of words.

No, Mimi, though that is pretty feckin' funny.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the homepage, under 'Responses'. See comment #2. I think something flaccid is going on here....

Hey thats pretty cool! Sounds like a blast.

I'm not offended by homosexuality. In college I made love with many, many women, often outdoors, in the mud and the rain... its possible a man might have slipped in. There would be no way of knowing.

Every time I read that name I have a disturbing image in my mind.

Maybe it's because you're a twisted pervert. There's no pride in being twisted or a pervert. Sure, you look all cool and all, but you're still twisted...and a perv.

...whatever.

For some reason I can't seem to dissassociate the words bluering and cockring.

For me, whenever I see the name "bluering", I associate him with a cyanotic hemorrhoid.

Only straight people have children. I mean c'mon, look at Clay Aiken!

Mucci, I stole that from the office :( I wish I could write that well! Oh well. Off to find a Men's room in a county park a la George Michaels. Its getting so hard to find true love these days.

Say, where's Larry Craig been all this time?? Those interested, tap your foot in the New!

An informal gay and lesbian network has been growing on a “club basis” in climbing for about thirty-some years now in the U.S. It seems to be gaining traction especially in the last ten. Many of the clubs meet monthly at gyms and outdoor crags, socialize and network like everybody else and everybody is the better for it. And they have intergroup outings as you can see from the site. There are plenty of very good climbers amongst them. This has little to do with hair appointments and is real climbing.

This trend is a very good, harmless thing especially for the thousands of non-straight climbers amongst us and is a measured improvement upon the prior situation of them having to fear for their lives and those of others all the while in near-complete isolation as differently oriented individuals. One of the original networks has been Stonewall Climbers. Straight climbers do get involved too and have a great time. It is just the real world, after all.
