I was in Santa Fe last summer. Still can't figure out how all of those houses get water to come out of the tap.

Dyson has also admitted several times he hasn't followed the models very closely; last interviews along these lines were in 2010 or so, too...

He doesn't "follow the models" only because they are not accurate. Why should he then follow anything that is not accurate nor valid? Total waste of time for an individual of his immense caliber and incredible reputation throughout the world of science and physics.

No disputing Freeman Dyson has made many, many singular, brilliant contributions to physics and other fields. But you didn't listen to what I wrote. He's admitted himself that he isn't really up on the details of the many models (and that was years ago)... how does that make him credible on the subject now?

This is from Dyson's wikipedia page
Dyson agrees that anthropogenic global warming exists, and has written that "[o]ne of the main causes of warming is the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere resulting from our burning of fossil fuels such as oil and coal and natural gas."[35] However, he believes that existing simulation models of climate fail to account for some important factors, and hence the results will contain too much error to reliably predict future trends:
The models solve the equations of fluid dynamics, and they do a very good job of describing the fluid motions of the atmosphere and the oceans. They do a very poor job of describing the clouds, the dust, the chemistry and the biology of fields and farms and forests. They do not begin to describe the real world we live in...[35]
I am writing this...the clouds, dust, chemistry, biology of fields, farms, and forests are being more extensively studied now and scientists are trying to account for the important factors not previously studied...that is what science is...continueing to learn and answer questions...

Dyson tells science as a whole to be open minded to all aspects and opinions of this issue. Not to be closed minded to any skeptic science that abounds.
"my objections to the global warming propaganda are not so much over the technical facts, about which I do not know much, but it’s rather against the way those people behave and the kind of intolerance to criticism that a lot of them have."
"To reach reasonable solutions of the problems [of global warming], all opinions must be heard and all participants must be treated with respect."
Obviously many here on this thread and world wide should indeed heed his wise opinion considering this aspect of the issue.

why would anyone care what someone thinks who readily admits he does "not know much"
surely there is someone who can point by point refute the science of global warming?
The Chief was gonna do it, then he disappeared when challenged

Dyson knows and has researched far more concerning this Climate Change issue than most. Fact.
The models continue to be proven totally bias based on the data that is presented. As Dyson states, climate modeling of any kind can not nor should it be trusted to forecast the future accurately.
Below is a perfect example of that.

it doesnt matter on f*#king bit if man "caused" it or not,
If you don't have a good clue to the cause then you can't really fix things very well.
So it does matter if man causes or alters natural climate on the planet and to understand it.
It's a very important subject matter not be taken lightly.
Of course most of the world could care less until it becomes so bad that survival is threatened.
Then those types just start to panic and do even more stupid things.
And yes Politics, money, religion, disinformation and all kinds of other anomalies also start to creep in onto/into the problem due to human nature.
It's very good that good hearten people take good look at this very serious problem.

In the last decade, about 30% of the warming has occurred below 700 m, contributing significantly to an acceleration of the warming trend.
Although Chiloe originally put it in bold, and then later drew your attention to the quote, you still don't quite seem to understand the words "the warming has occurred below 700 m..."
Why you keep posting ocean surface temperatures is baffling. Can you please explain your purpose, especially in light of what Chiloe provided?
