"K-Tel - 20 Explosive Hits.
Did you Merricans have K-Tel records, or was that just a Canuck thing? "
oh hell yeah we had K-tel. Sister had a K-Tel album with Shannon by Henry Gross and Love is the drug by Roxy Music.

It was either Sgt. Pepper's LHCB, or Don McLean's 'American Pie'- actually, I 'liberated' them from my Dad, and played them until they skipped and scratched so badly they were useless.

45's - Bee Gees "tragedy" and "how deep is your love and some thing by Donna Summers
Oh yes, my dad had a large collection that I shamelessly acquired. And I miss the days of cruising down there and hitting up Rasputins! Forgot all about that.
About 13 years ago, SADLY, (and I'm still super upset I did this) I sold my records, even the super rare imports, to pay a damn bill. And some of my Magic the Gathering cards, but that's another story . Just remember, heat is a luxery, music is required!

I still have about 250 vinyl records in my collection- they are a pain in the arse to move around, and I rarely play any of them anymore, but I can't dream of getting rid of them.

I remember as clear a daylight. Got my grandmother to get me these for my fifth birthday (1967):
1. Hard Day's Night
2. Supreme's Greatest Hits (double album!)
3. Never on a Sunday (Petula Clark)
OK, two out of three ain't bad!

Joan Jett, 45, Crimson and Clover on the A side, can't remember the B side. I do remember slow dancing to Crimson and Clover with Christy Boak the day prior at the 5th grade dance. She said "is that a crayon in your pocket?" I think she was refering to the jumbo sized crayons.

Not jumping on the current bandwagon but the first 33 I bought was the Jackson 5's Greatest Hits (I still have it!). The first 45 was Winchester Cathedral.
My brother gave me a bunch of 33's around that time. Woodstock, Led Zep 1, Both Monkee's albums, and Rare Earth. He wouldn't give me his Allman Brothers albums. Had to start buying them when I was 11.
BTW stopped by a garage sale this weekend and the lady had a used copy of MJ's Thriller album siting out in 100 degree heat for...
wait for it...
$50!!!
