Thanks again for Roy taking me up there.

You almost couldn't believe the wild roses--the fragrence
was just so wonderful. The other flowers were just gorgeous
too, something I wish I could capture as well as Roy has!

That lazy squaw spire looks like a real mind bender.

SteveW nice thread, Thank you. How good to get out with the Tarbuster man.

I love Golden Gate State Park as well. And I also grew up surviving the early learning curve adventures in that wonderful terrain. Chiloe where did you go to HS?

It's true.
Our climbing is for naught.
It's all about setting Lisa up for a run...

... they're just happen to be some rocks along the way.

This is getting to be a: "what's happening in our local neighborhood" thread.
I know, huh.
So what, that's how it is around these parts.

So while Mr. Stich and I were hiking up to Ralston Roost,
We ran into these guys en route:

But they already had riders,
So it was like: "no dice" for the hike up as it were.
And you already saw the pictures depicting our meager ascent.

So anyway: "Ah lakk horses" ... so you get those pictures too.

Crimpie & Brassnuts came up here today to inaugurate Crimpie's new mountain bike.

Lakewood! Small world, I went to Bear Creek or as we called it 'Bare Freak'. Our schools were football rivals. I went to a game against your school once. I couldn't care less about the game but I was dating one of hot cheerleaders. We must have won as she was really jumping and leaping and doing splits all over the place. Needless to say I didn't actually watch the game. I wasn't so much into team sports anyway since I had the greatest backyard a boy could hope for to play in.

You outta towners and flatlanders should really consider a visit to the GGSP on your pilgrimages to Cowlyrahdo. It's purty like them horses.
Tarbuster where is your chaps and spurs?

Another 1967 shot from Mt. Douglas. No housing developments, far as the eye can see.
