OK, folks. It's time to ban Burchey's IP address, as amusing as "Burchey...or Skully" and "Dingus Milkburch" is.

Werner's correct, he is a funny person.

Ban headcheese and send Bouche-D#@&%er...or Skully a canned ham.

Pork products unite!

Stop casting porosity, too, if you know how...

I had a beer with Chris a while ago and we were discussing the value of succinct thread titles. "You mean like Death to Spammers" to which he laughed and cracked a big grin.

"Yeah, like that."

B_E_S

Before I thought it was just a bad AI experiment for the heck of it.

Now I think it's a bad AI experiment designed to improve google search results for the customers of whoever created it.

They algorithmically generate garbage content using minimal feedback from the forum content itself, and plaster with links to their client sites. When people debate the gibberish or even reply "huh what?" then the weight of supertopo (or the other victim forums) in google searches lends credibility to the links embedded in the forum by B_E_S that point at the client sites.

In other words, we are being used to improve search engine results for other links completely unrelated to climbing. Beyond that, most of the pseudo-technical random mish-mash coming out is garbage. Occasionally entertaining, but now it's branching out into multiple threads and occupying page 1 real estate.

By the way, my last post in the longer B_E_S thread was a geek joke, utter nonsense (or calculatedly bad info mixing reality and fantasy) to mirror what B_E_S is spewing.

It could be time for a banning of his IP address.

the avatar Knotts has no reason to be posting on a website like STForum except to troll on the Climate thread...

http://www.supertopo.com/inc/view_profile.php?dcid=Ozk0Pjk4JCYm

with no interest in any discussion either on that thread or on the rest of the site and posts to that thread consist of a lot of loud strange rantings...

this started on May 17th and 62 posts into it... and counting... it's just going to be a vile slog...
