Year's-End Edition Bump

Brought to you by the folks at Bag-End B&B: left turn off Hwy 140 on to Yosemite Parkway from Hwy 99, go wherever your heart takes you.

He 'May' or 'May' not. I finally 'got it.' Nice, nice, very nice, MisterE.

Has Tarbuster "calmed down?" (health and happiness insert)

Is the 'get-together' getting together? (society pages are a thing of the past, turn the page)

The 2014 Facelift is gonna be more fun than a barrel of penny rolls. Make that bottle caps. (profiles in green--today's profile: Plaidman)

All Watched Over By Machines Of Loving Grace

I like to think (and
the sooner the better!)
of a cybernetic meadow
where mammals and computers
live together in mutually
programming harmony
like pure water
touching clear sky.

I like to think
(right now, please!)
of a cybernetic forest
filled with pines and electronics
where deer stroll peacefully
past computers
as if they were flowers
with spinning blossoms.

I like to think
(it has to be!)
of a cybernetic ecology
where we are free of our labors
and joined back to nature,
returned to our mammal
brothers and sisters,
and all watched over
by machines of loving grace.

Lots of bitchin' bump.

Why can't we all just get along?

Oh yeah, because we are all different.

I've been crazy busy with life, hope you negative Nancies can sort it out. Probably not, though.

The butthurt is strong indeed - updates:

Cosgrove is back, Burchey is in a battle of avatar banning/creation with the admins that is shaping up to be epic, Mouse from Merced is trying for a band-width comsumption record and has already probably doubled or triple everyone else with 11505 photos loaded as of today, Clint Cummins (aka the nicest and most on-topic guy ever) gets in a little engagement with a Sloan advocate...

let's see, what else?

Oh, then there is this ongoing thing:

Multiple Ron Andersons cause a Moderator reconsideration of what qualifies as a Ron Anderson - all is resolved after much aforementioned butthurt.

I must note the wonderful Gary: poem post and photo which rings a bell??

Richard Brautigan?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Brautigan

He wrote some great stuff. I of course related to his collection of fishing short stories: Trout Fishing in Idaho.

Otherwise I will quote Latin, (which I avoided in high school, since it was a dead language, but I could not ignore it in biology.)

This sums up my evening.
