A few years back, there was a thread like this on sierra topix where a dude dropped his cammera near the top of the cables, and somebody eventually found the SD card at the base of SFHD.

Jennie lost the engagement ring (€3,600) in Dalkey before we moved to Wexford several months ago..

Sure wish we had Jen's ring back.

Good luck you all in finding lost items. Merry Christmas.

Thought about replacing it several times over the past few years, after all I could actually afford a nice one now. But that would have been too easy. When I was 22, the 200 bucks I spent on that ring was a small fortune and everthing I had. Some things just can't be replaced.

I only wish they delivered the mail on Christmas! If any of you see mastadon, buy him a drink and send me the bill!

Merry Christmas all...

Dingus, your gold wedding band, wasn't it found by some prospectors and kicked off the California Gold Rush?

Some great stories on this thread. We will have not lost (pun intended) our humor.

karma circulates in our small world!

About a year ago I recovered a #3 Camalot from the site of Don's scary leader fall,
and I got it back to him, although it took a lot longer as he's quicker than I!

Wow Awesome thread!

Years ago I had a haul bag full of gear jacked from my car, a few weeks later someone posted up here that they found all my gear. It was the cop that busted the junkie that broke into my car.

Glad to hear you got your ring back. Good things come from the taco stand!

i haven't been on the taco in a few days, this is the first thread i picked to read, amazing.

Mr. Harder if you ever make it over to this side of the continent i have a list of things i would like you to find:

a money clip w/ $300 in it
a watch my mother gave me
a small screw to carburetor on log splitter

all were misplaced within a radius of 500 ft., all in the last 23 years and the top two for sentimental value, (the money clip) and the third because it made me mad.

thanks.

OK, so, above Tafraoute in Morocco there's some crag, ferget which, 4th-classy approach pitch that was perhaps our actual first route on our honeymoon climbing trip, and as I sat down on the first belay stance the damn thing hopped off a locker on the back of my harness and that was all she wrote. Hunted for hours, never found it. Hopefully some goat herder boy will score it someday and buy himself some dinner or something. Unless this mastodon character finds himself in Maroc….

Nice job, Mastadon!

I think you get a bunch of Karma points for stuff like this. Well done, sir.

And congrats, Garrick!
