Thank you for remembering! You are an amazing group of people and dad was so lucky to have found you. I truly believe that you all were integral at helping keep him as sharp and upbeat as he was all the way up until the end. Cannot really adequately relay the appreciation we feel for how wonderful you were to him.

Difficult week as it crept up on this day....seeing these posts makes it much easier. Once again reminds me of who he was and the wonderful life that he lived.

Thank you! I feel like this is kind of a celebration for him and that is a wonderful thing that this morning I would have said could not happen!

This email at the bottom is just the beginning lines of one between my dad and me...it went on to talk about trivial things and I told him he should watch a good vampire movie I had seen and he complained about the price of on demand movies...hehe. We must have exchanged that same type of email 1000 times and for some reason I pull them up often. I wish that I had more time to email him...and more time for him to tell me he is eating breakfast and what the weather is in Spokane...and more time to call me Pickles...just more time for everything. I wish I could have felt the slightest bit like I do now...before he passed....so that I would not have taken a second for granted.

Take the time to be with those you love, answer their emails and phone calls. Take every free second that you can grab hold of. : )

With that said hehe....we are all doing well and mom is getting ready to move over here in the next couple weeks. All of the holidays will be spent together and it is a good thing.... : )

I like reading his emails and seeing his pictures on ST. There will never be another quite like him.

Cheers to my dad Ouch! and cheers to you all.... : )

A doubly painful anniversary.

Meeting up with Woody to climb, frequently his first sentence was an intense;

DID YOU SEE WHAT OUCH DID TO ME!!!

Followed with an ear to ear grin.

good to remember Ouch!
and amazing that he found this place and figured out how to contribute in a very important way, he made sure we didn't take it all too seriously. Being Ouch!ed was certainly a good indicator that it was time to pull back and remember that we're supposed to be having a bit of fun, too.

We'll all be gone someday, and our loved ones, so make time for them, even the most trivial of things.

A lot has changed in the two years. I think Ouch and the others who have gone in the last two years are having a much better time where they are than we are here on ST. It's definitely something to look forward to.
