One thing I wanted to do with Spirit of the Age, my
piece on Royal, was to showcase Tom's photos. I too looked
through the entie body of work and studied photo after photo.
I chose the ones that fit the story best, so that limited some
of the choices, but that book was probably one of the first
real collections of Tom's work. I have bugged him for years
to publish the "Gallery of Frost," the name I suggested...
He and Glen were the two master photographers... at least in
terms of climbing shots (as opposed to portrait photography).

Always my best wishes to Tom,

Pat

Myself, Steve G, John Long and StoneMasterPress are stepping up to the plate on Tom's Book. I've been busy with another StoneMasterPress Book that goes to press in three weeks, after this my focus will be the Masters (Tom Frost) Book. . .DF

As part of the upcoming gathering in celebration of the second ascent of the Nose, Tom Frost is going to be signing prints on Saturday, October 23 from 4-6 pm at the Mountain Shop in Curry Village. In addition to his set portfolio, a set of select Nose prints will also be available signed.
These prints are digital and very reasonably priced.

Tom will also have some of his current portflio of fine art prints on hand. More on this portfolio soon.

Royal will have books to sign.

So come meet these guys and support their work, it matters!

This thread originally started in Aug. '08, and, at that time, Steve G. was actively working on the book. It was revived in Aug. '10, by that time Bullwinkle and John L. were working withy Steve on the book. It's now June, '13---what is the current status? Soon....I hope. Tom's photos---as was his climbing prowess--are top-rate.

I am still working on the book and filing nonprofit paperwork.

Once my nonprofit status is approved, I think I have a benefactor to fund the project and I will be self publishing the Frost book.

It will be worth the wait!

Well over 200 images from a variety of photographers and 45 thousand words will tell Tom's compelling story so it will be much more than a photo book.
