Another shot of Williams at work. Quintessential Gunks trad, small HB brassie below, levering over a 5.9 roof from a crimp, working hard to get a micro cam in a thin horizontal, hardest moves to come, and more steep thin stuff after that.

Not yet well-known, but destined to become a classic pitch: By The Toe Direct.

Surely it is ok to repost this shot by Eric Horst from the John Gill Bouldering History thread, since Gill is such a distinguished representative of the over-70 old's cool.
