from the link SF Mayor Gavin Newsom said...
In addition, San Francisco officials misinterpreted state law, he said, thinking that the Welfare and Institutions Code prohibited them from sharing juvenile criminal information with federal authorities. The city attorney, he said, has recently "clarified that that is not the case."
Russoniello wasn't buying it Tuesday, calling Newsom's explanation "all contrivance."
"They have said all along that it was the sanctuary policy that mandated they shield these people from ICE," he said. "It's only because it's so preposterous that the sanctuary law would shield drug dealers that they've now come up with this alibi."
Gavin’s lying through his teeth. And just today he annouces he’s exploring a run for Governor. Does he think the rest of Cali is as stupid as San Franciscans?

Jerry Brown is a hero for having the balls to actually fix problems. That is why he is one of the most popular and best governors California has ever had. If he is p1ssing bluey off he must be doing something right
Less than three weeks into Donald Trump’s presidency, Gov. Jerry Brown has never been more popular, and nearly two-thirds of adults in the nation’s most populous state want California to go its own way on climate change and immigration, according to a new poll.
The poll, released late Thursday by the nonpartisan Public Policy Institute of California, comes amid intensifying conflict between Trump and heavily Democratic California. State lawmakers are fast-tracking legislation to shield undocumented immigrants from deportation, and they have hired Eric Holder, the former U.S. attorney general, to help prepare for potential litigation against the Trump administration on issues ranging from climate change to health care and immigration.
Brown’s approval rating of 62 percent is a record high for the fourth-term governor in PPIC surveys, up from 57 percent in December. The Democrat-controlled Legislature has also seen its stock improve since Trump took office. Its 57 percent approval rating is the highest it has been since before the energy crisis in 2001.

As the U.S.A. by definition is a liberal democracy, are you trying to say that all Americans are mentally disordered?
The "Liberal" in "Liberal Democracy" refers to Liberty, not a political point of view.
From the Oxford:
mass noun
1. A democratic system of government in which individual rights and freedoms are officially recognized and protected, and the exercise of political power is limited by the rule of law.
In other words any political view is equally at home in a Liberal Democracy.

Jerry Brown is not as popular as the media polls claim. They conduct these polls in liberal cities like San Francisco and Los Angeles. They allow illegal immigrants to participate. If these polls were done up in Northern Counties, a much different picture would emerge. In the 26 northern counties that overwhelmingly vote conservative, you will be hard pressed to find a Brown supporter. And while we are at it consider that no matter how many people are in the wrong, its not a reason to join them. Herd mentality is what is driving the sheep in our state. Nowadays, it is the conservative who is the free thinker. I will continue to form my own opinions regardless of what the sheep say we all should think. A majority of Lemmings think its a good idea to jump off a cliff and swim out to sea and drown. They dont know that the phermone alpha that leads them to their death is a proxy for those who remain behind to reproduce and survive. California voters are like lemmings, ignoring the obvious facts about the real causes of poverty, ignorance and financial catastrophe which loom large here.
You cant have everything you want. So we must choose. Those who choose to spend our tax dollars tilting windmills and striving for an impossible utopia are forsaking the obvious needs of our people and infrastructure. Ghandi said "Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth." I find myself often in the minority of one position for advocating what I believe is obvious common sense. Necessities first, moonbeam ideas second. Perhaps a tax on millionaires who cannot show anything for all the taxes they pocket. Most infrastructure administrators get paid millions, with nothing to show for it. Feinstein is a good example.
You shall know them by the fruits they bear. Just look at the homeless situation in Sacramento and its demographics. That is the real proof of the California Legislature and its real goals. They dont give a shyt about anyone. They only covet money and power. By empowering illegals to overthrow and conquer our Nation, these deceitful leaders have ascended to power, cashing in on liberal comfort and "white guilt." Illegal immigration, refugees and sanctuary cities are a de facto invasion. A childrens crusade to conquer America. These are not evil people coming here. But they are desperate, predatory and uneducated. Our leaders are using them as proxies, just like the Lemmings.

OK, OK - the USA is a liberal, federal, democratic republic.
Not. for Very Much Longer ! A Few Months If That ! , the Republic under this Regime is failing! Yesterday early evening, after 6:30pm ,
The TV broadcast was interrupted by:
1)an all red screen.
2) a loud '3 Bells' alert: audio "loop, recorded" sound of '3 Bells' -like- 'fog horn' blasts
3) some mic. checking, (static between blasts, of different natures? Live clicks?)
And
4) a scrolling banner that red in large white letters " Civil Emergency Warning "
I quelled fears among the wife and kids that it was just the storm warning system.
It was not an amber alert or a storm warning .
It was a test of the Civil warning notification system,
the 1st steps that an Authoritarian dictatorship has to deploy before declaring
Martial law.
Of course in Trump-havens, where homes are multi-millions in assets
& cash so the flock, have no problem sheltering in cloister'd neighborhoods.
That my experience now includes a Civil warning alert blasted into my living room,
Across my 80 inch screen, ala' the 1960s. Duck & Cover, Civil Emergency drills,
Not all here remember the "hide under desks" Cold War days.

Brown is corrupt. If you disagree just call state officials and ask for your own state funded assessment of the feasibility of oil development on your private land...
After a phone call from the governor and follow-up requests from his aides, senior staffers in the state's oil and gas regulatory agency over at least two days produced a 51-page historical report and geological assessment, plus a personalized satellite-imaged geological and oil and gas drilling map for the area around Brown's family ranchland

making money is easy,
within capitalism.
it is everywhere, in excess.
greed decorates a lazy soul.
fear then moves in.
fear about running out of more than you need.
then ignorance takes root.
and hatred.
"he'll take what i deserve. strip him of his liberties."
republicans seek this path, because it's easy. and they are
weak. in spirit; in mind; and in body...(f*#k you i'm not sharing my excess i'll hoard it instead; christianity is boss, yo! and i want to sit on my ass in my big truck, or any big motorized transport and fling my lazy self about, because GODDAMn it it's my RIGHT!)
more difficult is the path of kindness, sharing, compassion, listening, and giving.
liberals are stout. replicans watered-down lager.

Here Here! Not perfect but a perfectly functional leader doing his job in this wacky state after decades of cluster-fuk attempts at govenorship.
He is fiscally conservative and wise. Prejudice people rail against him on a partisan stance but he is more Republican in action than any republican for a very long time.

having a hard time with a new trick.
i got frustrated, though continued the struggle.
man that's a difficult sport..
i ended up leaving and found myself
wanting to go to the skateshop

just to make my failure less painfull.
and i realized that i was acting like a republican:
substituting material gains for personal achievement.
it's way f*#king easier to just buy yourself success than
it is to earn it through repeated toil.

Had O'Reilly read anything but the headline he would have known this...
Still, the Brown administration warned that it’s not time to start letting the tap run freely. Some policies introduced during the drought, such as bans on hosing down driveways and outdoor watering within 48 hours of rain, will remain in place. Most significantly, state officials continue to hammer out a set of long-term water regulations that promises continued austerity down the road.

I'll give Jerry credit on one count. He likes to drink raw milk, so he's seen to it that it is legal in California.
But...
I'd rather have a stong, uncorrupted leader with vision...
I think it's time to start following the money on that bullet train.

Dingus: I'd rather have a stong, uncorrupted leader with vision who has the courage to say what he thinks I need to hear rather than a weak, corrupted stooge who only tells me what I want to hear and stabs me in the back room deal.
That’s quite list of negative characteristics. Enter Satan.
What would you feel about a strong-willed, uncorrupted administrator who devotes him or herself to the adherence of an ideology? Is being "a good man" the paramount criterion?
If you live in the contemporary world, you demand performance. That leads to people who DO perform. Then you get what you get. (You may not like it.)

You mentioned that you don't like the 12% gas tax. Welcome to the majority of Californians. But if that's the case, just how did Brown get this thing passed? He spread nearly $1B around in pork to the districts of legislators who stood against the tax. That's an expenditure of huge sums of tax money to pass a tax. Legal bribery.
You know what's insidious about this tax? It will drive up consumer costs at the same time that it is indexed for inflation. So as the tax drives up the costs of everything we (rich and poor alike) buy, the tax goes up automatically to match.
Another related point. Poorer people generally drive cars or small trucks which use more gas than those of us who might buy a nice hybrid or even an electric. So not only are they hit disproportionately by rising costs (everything you buy rode on a truck,) and the simple increase in fuel prices as part of their income, but largely due to economic necessities they tend to use more fuel per mile traveled.
Now, in what way does Brown care two bits about under-privileged Californians?

DMT, I have to agree with you that Brown is better than Governator, Pete the cheat Wilson and Dukemagen. He is not corrupt. But he is a pawn to the democrat majority. I would like a Governor who doesnt always give the Legislature what it says it wants. The executive branch is effective when it vetos some things. But you are right to counter some of what I said. Jerry is a good ole boy in diguise. After all, he owns 25 shotguns and a ranch in the sticks....I wish he would represent me a little more. I spent today working with a major developer's subcontractors. Every single worker didnt speak English..... Llamo poco Espanol, Para Aprendo que yo puedo. Mi Espanol es muy tontoria. Lo es difficile. Lo es muy importante aprender Espanol en California. When people claim that immigrants take jobs that noone else wants, thats not true. Ese esta no verdad! I used to get paid well for my trades. Now its not what it was. How can I not speak up? Todos la gente qui quieres la gubierno controllar todos el mundo no travajar en ellos vistas. They dont even know which end to grab a hammer!
