Lynn, that shot of Ed Sampson is actually his brother, Roger, I believe. Ed is (was) much more blond. Ed is reppin and now lives in Colorado. They used to climb there together a bit(edit:dome rock, needles)--took me there once in '78 or '79 I think. Bruce (Adams)

With Randy in the pic below Randy and Mari: That is Bruce Pottenger, the guy who made all the tshirts everyone is wearing. AKA, Kinnaloa, AKA MoMo
In the pic below that, the blondish dude in white pant might be Terry Ayres, AKA the Lima Bean or Junior.... he was probably 12 years old then, but it might be him. He posts here sometimes as "Junior". The two guys behind the Lima Bean look real familiar, but I don't know their names.
In the bottom photo of Randy, the blurry guy with the pony tail and red jumper is Greg Epperson.
Bruno edit: no way man... that is Eddie Moe for sure. There are a ton of those Moes, including eddie Moe, Larry Moe, Roger Moe, a sister or two Moes, and some mystery brother Moe... Eddie Moe still dyes his hair blond though. Probably the pic was taken on a heavy roots day.

On right, pretty gal with shoe box, means she won a prize. I thought she was with a well known German climber? Left of her is J. Woodward. Can't remember the girl with rope's name...just her face.

Just got the time to sit down and finally check out this thread... awesome Lynne. Thank you. Immensely enjoyable and very evocative of the time... which I completely missed... I think I was in the Chicago flatlands at the time. Glad to be able to share the "feeling" still.

Mr. Dan won too. Hey, the red pants are just what the "wall" photo guy ordered. They ARE kinda highwater, but he lost alot of weight training, couldn't afford more in the days.
Kinda remember Mr. Quiet Man actually made a speech and a joke. Kev, what was he ribbing you about? Do you remember?

Josh is just a weird, cool place. It brings out the 'cool' in people somehow. Many times I've scrambled that desert rock drunk with a headlight at night. That's actually always the highlight of my trips there...ya gotta save some energy for the night scrambles. Jumbo corridor, Conan's corridor, ya know?
I love that place.
