OK SushiFesterers... He's my latest idea. Give me money.

and now that you have mouthed "f- you, nature".... Allow me to continue

The idea for SushiFest t-shirts has been tossed around. I want to see it happen. I was figuring to get an idea of how many to print or get that I'd ask for you all to commit by sending in the funds and then once we have enough of a demand we get them printed up. While we do that we can work over the design.

I'm trying to get a hold of my uncle who owns his own t-shirt print shop to try and get a deal or atleast an idea of the total pricing.

So... unless anyone has a better idea to get this ball rolling.... give me money :-)

I'm pretty sure we can do them for $15 ea. or less.

I was there and you there
Do you remember?

Yeah T shirts, Can you make the front look like we spilled Sushi on ourselves, and the back should have boxes on the back that the attendees can check the appropriate squares.
Sorry I can't make the Eastern ( NM) Fest it's kinda Festerin' inside but the drive is a little unrealistic right now. Lets do something in NV at Wild granites outside of Tonapah, Guns, Granite, beer, Sushi, Live music what more can we say?

If you want one pad my paypal account :-)

There will be only one version of this shirt using the list above which will be on the back along with the slogan.

Or maybe the Slogan should be on the front along with the logo?

I'm checking on pricing but it seems like $15 each will work out to be about right - maybe even have organic cotton.

I'll also make sure we can do womens style t-shirts and I'm rather certain various sizes won't matter (colors may not either though I do know one color print).

Remember... I'm not trying to make anything off of sushifest or off of t-shirts. With enough volume $15 ea. should work.

So... Summit the Bread dog. No lie. I put out a bowl of canned dog food and next to it I put a slice of bread. I made her sniff both and then put them both on the ground.

She took the bread then came back for the soft food. Silly mutt!

update:

I just got off the phone with Alex Falkenstein who is doing the printing and this project is now moving along.

Ya'll's might owe me a few extra bucks for shipping. It appears that an organic t-shirt will run $14. There's no screening fee or anything else so at the very least I'm owed a beer per shirt :-) (after shipping).

Here are our options.

Any quantity of:
Any size
Any light (ash grey or white) color
Any style (womens tank, mens tank, t-shirt).

So we can pretty much mix and match with no minimum.

Note: The women's tanks are not organic cotton (can't find them).

Over the weekend I will finalize my list of sizes/shapes/colors and get that to Alex on Monday so he can order the shirts.

I'll order a few extra. I will also order any shirts that people have committed to but not paid for (though coughing up the cash would be nice)

We're about a month out from getting them once the order is in.

Stay tuned!

B.A.T. Shirts next week!!!

PS - yes, Alex is Chris' son. gotta love keepin' this kinda thing in the family!

Steve: yeah, I am charging at the facelift in the fall. It'll work like this.

For Tuesday night and Thursday night it's the standard $30/head/night with the standard food fare: big eye tuna, kajiki, tasmanian salmon from hawaii, uni, soft shell, unagi, anago, tobiko, smoked tuna, seared albacore, surf clam... the basics, ya know?

On Saturday night it will work like last year with one small difference. I will put out a tip jar. Anyone that eats some sushi is asked to donate. Last year I split what was in the tip jar with the YCA. This year the entire tip jar goes to the YCA ($175 was the total last year).

On top of that I am conspiring with Tim the Pancake man to make breakfast each morning. We'll also have a tip jar out for that. We'll use the funds to keep the food stocks and anything left over is also a YCA donation.

We'll also consider something similar for dinners.

I know some folks would love to help and if you give me your day (on top of a little trash pickup) your sushi funds for one night will be covered. Duties will include food/beer runs, doing dishes and food prep.

What I'm hoping to accomplish is to make it easier for people to eat well and to get out of camp earlier to pick up trash.

BTW, I'm not really sweating anyone for t-shirt funds. I have this thing which is called a real job so covering the initial costs is no problem. Crimpie: I'll send you my address unless you wish to do the paypal thing.

Hey Crimpy,

Get signed up. It has been a few years since I signed up, but I think you have to send your bank account $.01 which will activate your account? I may be wrong on that, I usually draft off of a credit card.

After signing up and logging in go to send money.

Type in the email address of who you are sending money to.

It will ask what it is for IE services, ebay auction, goods, other. Click the approperate option.

Click send money and your done.
