Donny, what you read above may or may not be true. It is probably partly true, but it is still only one side of the story, and there are two sides to every story like this.

To me, it is incredibly unsportsmanlike to diss your partner in a public forum. These are things that might often better be discussed privately.

museman-

I guess the question is: Did you climb with John Butler after Watkins?

I had one partner that I really like as a person, but do not trust him enough to climb with after a few 'sketchy' events during our climbing history. And he has a pretty good Yosemite wall CV. Personally, I think he's lucky to be alive and to not have killed someone else. I'm saying this not as a perfectionist, but as someone who has made a considerable number of mistakes and has learned from all of them... I think.

PTPP- I feel bad writing about John that way, man! But his TR wasn't as rosey as it sounds. BTW everybody disses you!

Gunkie- I did do one more route with him just to make sure it wasn't me. Moonlight Buttress,Zion. It wasn't me! He's a good person...Eric Beck was his room mate and he seemed to talk the talk, but didn't really walk the walk.

Bump for Friday afternoon climbing content.

Anyone have more info about Escape From Freedom? What a crazy, impossible looking face. Looking down on it from atop Angel's Rest I figured there's no way there's a route up there. But lo...
