*Jules Taub was a pen-name for Jules Bihari, one of the four Bihari Brothers that created the Modern Records label in the 40's. One reason cited for the pen-name was less to do with any creative responsibilities but more likely to ensure that a percentage of royalties would be retained by the record company. Many of B.B. King's (and other artist) had this or another co-composer name attached for this purpose.

He and his brother were members of the McCoys as teenagers; but he wasn't such a pistol then and went by his given name of Rick Zehringer and got away with this runaway hit:
Sloopy was a real person, Dorothy Sloop Heflick, but that ain't her in the video. She was pianist and spent most of her career playing in the French Quarter in New Orleans.
