Bless you Lynne and it is my sincere hope you are celebrating your memories with your hubby, and to have peace that he is in a good place.

Lynne, my father passes away the day before my 14th birthday, this was hard on me all during my teenage years, it contributed to, too many years of depression. Anniversary behavior is real, even though it has been over thirty years on my birthday my father is in my heart but I know now because of his suffering he is indeed in a much better place.

It is with both sadness, love and joy that this post get's brought back to the top.

I did not know Dan but can see that he was a great fellow, in that "all round" kinda way that only climbers can be.

Lynne, I hope you know how much many of us care. You have helped me, personaly and I appreciate it. You can give when much has been taken from you. I think you are on the right path, yet knowing that even the right path has potholes and bumps. You are a valuable person for more reasons than I can know. The world is a better place with you in it.

The world was a better place because Dan was here. It is right that we honor a good man.

Peace be with you.

Lynne, I am so glad you came to the supertopo forum. This anniversary is a hard one, so it is good for you to be here now.

You have all the support you are able to accept and I know this because you offer support and caring so lavishly to others that it must come back to you.

It is wonderful that you have begun to climb again this year. I hope you have many wonderful days outside in this coming year. I haven't been at my computer much this month- the glare is kind of hard to take, but I am only a phone call away if you ever need a friend.

Lynne,

I'm so sorry to hear about Dan's passing. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Todd Meyer. My family used to live across the street from you in Orange on Wilson Avenue. I'm not actually a climber of any sort, but I was looking around on Facebook for Amy or Leah and came across the mention of Dan on this forum.

You can reach me at rockintoddo@yahoo.com or through Facebook.

Sincerely,
Todd Meyer

hey there dearest lynnne-gal.... onward and upward, and, as you conquer the new skills of climbing, may you continueally conquer deep wounds of a loved-one-passed-on, but in way that the memory still savors the path of the loved-oned, and in turn, turns these memories into shining jewels upon the walls of your inner-being, and new and poslished ways that you will forever be glad of off....

i lost connections with loved ones, though not by death... but the pain, is (naturally not as permanent) but just as painful, at times.... may joy, come to all of us, in new ways, as to our losses....

:)

may you be even stronger, this year, and may the climbing, incorperate many similarities in overcoming... and in the new veiws, aspects, and victory, of the hard trail....

hey there lynne... very true, it is like displaying a jewel...

say, dr. F had added some very nice words, in the "stories for lynne"... wow, wish i could have seen dan to that... would have been nice to see photos, after seeing that story... such a skill... and when one has a favorite rock to hang-out on, that makes it even more special to see the climber, do his thing....
