Dlintz...sorry about your buddy. I have a soft spot for senior blackdogs and I remember(I think) a classic photo of Ruy starin' down a burger. What a guy.
These damn dogs just don't live long enough but our love for them goes on forever and transfers over to our new companions....just like it has and will for Cragman and did for me.
My little mongrel picked up where my big old blackdog left off.

Throwin' out some peace for my dog peeps.

Well said, Jefe. Is Rosebud part Rat Terrier?

I think my Maggie is;

Dean, Bentley is priceless. Have fun with him and the kids.

EDIT: Sanskara, is that a Pit or Staphordshire Bull Terrier? They can be really good dogs, both breeds. Just need a good upbringing.

Too bad the get a bad rep. My buddy has a Staph that look svery similar to yours.

She walks up to my kid and licks him all over his face, which is kinda gross, but they both dig it....Her name is Stormy. Cool dog.

Blue

He is what it they call an American Bully. Yeah sounds stupid but that's what they call em, I don't make the rules. For the most part is is a designer pit bull. They started by mixing Pits with Staffordshire Terriers then added in Staffy Bulls, then Mastiffs then American Bulldogs, then English, then French.

I guess they are just mutts in all reality. They even have their own registry as the AKC and UKC won't recognize them..

Not to start any kind of sh#t storm but Pit Bull people will tell you that blue dogs are not Pit Bulls but American Bullies. I guess the blue or grey gene is not found in any pit bull line. Pit bull people have a big problem with the general public mistaking non Pit Bull dogs for Pit Bulls as it adds to the inaccurate bite statistics.

Whatever the case I have another dog that is like blue brindle and I consider her a pit. Both are great dogs with overflowing amounts of love to share.

And I could not agree more about a good upbringing. If you are the type that let's your children run all over the restaurant and kinda lazy a pit bull is not for you. They need very clear and deliberate boundaries. Best if from a young age although they do tend to be very very smart animals so older dogs can learn new tricks. Key in my opinion is being consistent . Sh#t that goes for any dog though really most owners just can't be bothered. Pit bulls demand it or it ends in trouble normally not being their fault but the stupid owners. Rant over I just love me a good bully breed dog!

Shitty pic of the other one but it's what I have.

sanskara, I agree completely.

Stormy was raised around 2 young twins from her early years (and theirs) by my buddy's sister. He took her after she had to move and couldn't take the dog. I think that's why Stormy loves kids.

The dog is actually a child at heart herself. But she does look intimidating to the paranoid Bull Terrier hating types.

I love her.

You're welcome I'm mostly an armchair lurker, glad I could uplift a little spirit! I personally have become dehydrated from tear expulsion today. Unreal how deeply I had been uplifted by that dog! Today was crazy runout with taking Sage in to the Vet. and burying her in the backyard which I think is illegal, but she deserves a place in the garden. Peace!

She is lucky to have love!

So many just write them off missing a whole world of pure dog awesomeness.

If you are a dog lover and like a smart, obedient, loyal, loving affectionate and athletically capable dog you are missing out if you discriminate against bully breeds.

Sorry for your loss man. I can't imagine, I have two dogs 5 and 6 and have yet to part ways with a pet other than as a very very young child.

I can't imagine.

Rocky the dog I posted about awhile ago is gone. I think he was probably the cutest dog that ever lived but it came to be that suffering was his lot. we had him put down. After a few weeks, The women in my house took me to see another puppy. I figured it was done deal before leaving the house which turned out to be the case. So now we have Sadie who looks like a little black Scottie.

WE all know that feeling, and have shed the tears ourselves as well, bro. I totally sympathize. I don't think I can watch yer slideshow right now. Maybe later. I really hate seeing our buddies that have left us, and seeing the owners mourn. Mostly because I know how it feels.

It's hard. Sorry for your loss. And may God bless bless your friend.

EDIT: Banquo, Sadie looks awesome. Sorry about Rocky. I had a Beagle named Rocky...good dog.

That dog is an 11 on the cute scale. I'm going to try dogless for a spell. til the old heart heals a bit and I have amnesia to what the cost of loving was.
