Don't even think about climbing a route like the Sundevil Chimney without the proper gear.......best go to the HUGE YARD SALE in Joshua Tree and make SURE you got the righteous right stuff for the climb;....and if you want to know what gear to bring;...ask Epperson;...he's been up the thing 3 times ....once with P. Tekada...once with me, and once with Sartin/Daniels.....(You would think once would be enough......)

O K.....I really want to be discreet about this, .....hopefully you will understand. The reason Greg is selling most of his gear is because he has become hopelessly bow-legged from too much horseback riding;.....climbing gear is really of no use to him;....check out this recent picture of him.......it's fairly severe.......but ladies;...he still looks just fine in a pair of tight Lee jeans, some Dingo boots, and a pearl button shirt......(I wish he's lay off the chew;....but everyone knows that just a pinch between the cheek and gums keeps your hands free to ride them wild broncs.....) Cowboy up and see y'all at the sale to end all sales. (Keep checking the website for new stuff posted.......there is a little something for everyone...and don't forget them tricams for the Mrs. )

If its for charity I might be tempted to drive up from San Diego. Im old and fat, but a couple of more pieces of gear to fondle could
keep me from touching myself so much.

Please check the website for new stuff added to the biggest climbing yard sale in Joshua Tree's History.....You won't want to miss this sale.....

Cool stuff Todd, all the eppi pics are epic! Since this is almost a eppi appreciation thread; I have a eppi story to share.

I had taken my girlfriend at the time(now my wife of 16 years)up to Tuolumne Meadows for her first experience with rock climbing or the great outdoors for that matter. We are at the general store and cross paths with Greg. I say hello he replys with his warm smile hello Tommy and hello Chris, My girlfriend says hello Greg. I'm like WTF you two know each other? My girlfriend (at the time of coarse, now after spending 16 years with me things are a little different)didn't even know how a carabineer opperated much less acquainted with any climbing gurus such as Greg.

Chris worked for a small printing company in El Cajon and had done some work for Greg buisness cards and what not. Small world!

See you at the sale :)

Cheers

T 2......yep;...everyone knows Greg ).......O K....I'm almost out of Epperson photos that I have scanned;....so I'll be giving everyone a break soon....(maybe).....It's been fun hyping the sale;...it will be fun. Greg is an "old-timer" in the climbing community and industry, and has done alot for climbing and climbers......he has shared much. I also respect and appreciate Greg for being an awesome friend to me for close to 3 decades now.....both on and off the crags, he has been way good to me and been there for me . He is a master craftsman with his photos, his ability to build/fix/repare anything, and the mo fo can climb circles around me too. I've climbed a fair bit with him , and he's an awesome climbing partner, and one of my best friends. ..C y'all at the sale to end all sales.......

Eps with my son Beck when he was just a wee one. ( Did I tell you Greg loves children, animals, and even Canadians?)

hey there todd gordon... say, my, my, my... you SURE got a knack about climbing garage sales... or garage sales climbing all over the place...

say, i could SURE use a guy like you to advertise my book:
"INTRODUCING..." and how it is a great way to get folks to see how an everyday ordinary guy, faces seizures and head injury, with the help of good buddies and family love, why it'd shed insight into another world of "hard climbs"---so if you ever get out of garage sale mode--haha, all in fun--give me a ring!

ps. say, you're doing great todd--fun stuff here, why if i was a climber and needed gear, i'd be there... bringing sandwiches, tacos, or enchiladas for all, and some good ol' sweet texas ice tea and limes....
