Most of the stuff is Greg Epperson's;....some is Kevin Powell's, Kevin Daniel's....and maybe some of my gear too ...(If I can find some stuff I wish to part with). Greg is realistic;....he's keeping just the stuff he uses all the time;...I still want to keep EVERYTHING....and I even think that I may use it all.....(Yeah;...RIGHT.......)....The sale is on the main road to the west entrance to the Park....about 1 mile before the West entrance kiosk. It will be on the right side of the road, on K. Daniel's property...(Which is also for sale too, I believe!) I think Greg wishes to sell it all in person, and not mess with it on line;...he's rather busy most of the time,...and wants to unload it all (Or as much of it as he can......) all at once.......it's alot of stuff, and I'm sure all at very reasonable discount bro prices.......he gets alot of his gear from all his work in the climbing industry.....so it aint' hot or swap meet stuff;...it's the real deal stuff.....lots is brand new still in the package, as you can see fromt he pics;.....the used stuff is used;...Greag climbs and used gear gets beat on;...but for those of you who know Greg;....he takes really good care of all his stuff...(unlike alot of us........)....so the used stuff probably aint' too mistreated.........Here's a good reason to take that trip to J Tree.....climb on the low angle dummy domes, and score on the cool gear;....they savings you will recieve from the discount gear will pay for the trip down to climb! See ya at the yard sale! (I'm gonna buy some stuff too;....I can't help myself!....) This aint' my sale, but I want to post it for the climbing community, and for the people who are selling the gear;.....it will be fun!

If you REALLY can't make it to the huge biggest climbing gear sale....contact Greg through the website;...especially for camera stuff or big ticket items.......but it's first come , first serve;......if you want something and you aren't there in person....some opportunist will gobble your item up;....you snooze, you lose. Greg is ready to wheel and deal;.....it's time to get serious about that wall you NEED to climb to;.....quit talkin' about it;...just do it.

O K.....I really want to be discreet about this, .....hopefully you will understand. The reason Greg is selling most of his gear is because he has become hopelessly bow-legged from too much horseback riding;.....climbing gear is really of no use to him;....check out this recent picture of him.......it's fairly severe.......but ladies;...he still looks just fine in a pair of tight Lee jeans, some Dingo boots, and a pearl button shirt......(I wish he's lay off the chew;....but everyone knows that just a pinch between the cheek and gums keeps your hands free to ride them wild broncs.....) Cowboy up and see y'all at the sale to end all sales. (Keep checking the website for new stuff posted.......there is a little something for everyone...and don't forget them tricams for the Mrs. )

Cool stuff Todd, all the eppi pics are epic! Since this is almost a eppi appreciation thread; I have a eppi story to share.

I had taken my girlfriend at the time(now my wife of 16 years)up to Tuolumne Meadows for her first experience with rock climbing or the great outdoors for that matter. We are at the general store and cross paths with Greg. I say hello he replys with his warm smile hello Tommy and hello Chris, My girlfriend says hello Greg. I'm like WTF you two know each other? My girlfriend (at the time of coarse, now after spending 16 years with me things are a little different)didn't even know how a carabineer opperated much less acquainted with any climbing gurus such as Greg.

Chris worked for a small printing company in El Cajon and had done some work for Greg buisness cards and what not. Small world!

See you at the sale :)

Cheers

Greg is an "old-timer" in the climbing community and industry, and has done alot for climbing and climbers......he has shared much. I also respect and appreciate Greg for being an awesome friend to me for close to 3 decades now.....both on and off the crags, he has been way good to me and been there for me . He is a master craftsman with his photos, his ability to build/fix/repare anything, and the mo fo can climb circles around me too. I've climbed a fair bit with him , and he's an awesome climbing partner, and one of my best friends. ..C y'all at the sale to end all sales.......

hey there todd gordon... say, my, my, my... you SURE got a knack about climbing garage sales... or garage sales climbing all over the place...

say, i could SURE use a guy like you to advertise my book:
"INTRODUCING..." and how it is a great way to get folks to see how an everyday ordinary guy, faces seizures and head injury, with the help of good buddies and family love, why it'd shed insight into another world of "hard climbs"---so if you ever get out of garage sale mode--haha, all in fun--give me a ring!

ps. say, you're doing great todd--fun stuff here, why if i was a climber and needed gear, i'd be there... bringing sandwiches, tacos, or enchiladas for all, and some good ol' sweet texas ice tea and limes....

Epperson on the lead...again.........anyone can climb on diamonds and teflon......but it takes a certain type of individual to climb on rock like this........after climbing on the loose stuff......it might make ya want to just have a big yard sale and sale a bunch of your gear at WAY reduced prices.....ya never know.....

Best Promotion ever! Funny, and wonderful photos. I have been following the thread for the entertainment value itself. Sort of like one saves the Playbill from a B/Way show, this thread will long be remembered after the sale....

Greg is fine;....Greg, Kevin Powell, Kevin Daniels, Mayville, Weasel Boys all wanted to unload gear;....the "promotion" on Supertopo is the product of someone who is at home alot with 3 infants, and some spare time in-between diapers. Just time to "clean shop " so to speak.......and it's fun too.

One of MY favorite's of Greg's

I had great time at the Yard sale. And got some killer deals on books, hardware, gear and cloths. Had a blast shmoozing with Greg, Kevin, Kevin, Dave and others. I think everyone made out; the sellers and the buyers.

Greg your book is great. You really put your heart into it.

Please make it an annual event. I'll bring more money next time,
Harrison
