Hi Risk, Walleye and kingtut!

Ah yes, Tuolumne, a place that sinks deep into the heart of anyone that has spent time there. Who knows what 2018 will bring to the Meadows and its lovers?

Cheers, Lynnie

Flip Flop, Hurray! Excellent, tho short, TR. The picture of the three with their backs to the camera, headed off gives me goose bumps. I have a similar picture in hand from tarbuster taken years ago. Things change, but things, too, remain the same. A big cheers to you and family, friends!!!

We've had close to 3 weeks in Yosemite so far this year. A week in the Valley in June and nearly 2 weeks in Tuolumne. Our TR is kidstyle. Shanghai campers. Skateboard raspberries, float, soccer, swim, bike, camp, hike, soccer, climb, tent, art, stories

We made it up to Vogelsang for the first real monsoon winds of the season. Ho Man! I had to drop the megamid but the Whitebark Pines kept us happy. We had a dinner reservation at Carl's Place;) but traded for breakfast....where we met the cuties just finishing 30+ miles with their Mom and Grandad. Lynnie, the goosebumps were everywhere that day. From Vogelsang to Twin Bidges and the lodge, that was our trail view. I'm over the moon about this trip

you have a beautiful family flip flop. Thanks for sharing your trip with us. When I was a kid we did 2 week camping trips to Yosemite. Those are some of my favorite family memories. That gave me a deep seated love for the outdoors and for Yosemite. I ended up working and living in the park for 25 years.

How's the smoke up there? We're setting up camp on Tuesday for annual family excursions next week.

Excellent run of photos, Flip Flop!
What a great group of kids: I dig the crayon art.

Okay, how about the one on the right of the three kids here.
I'm going to go out on a limb and observe: she's sharp as a tack and no one is ever going to sell her something she doesn't want.

Also, I predict natural athlete and future medical researcher.
Sorry, I see a face issuing resolve and capability and I just take an interest, whatever the age.

I was amazed how much the older sister looks like my son. His goofy look and her wise look notwithstanding.

If the smoke wasn't so bad this weekend, I'd planned to shuttle up some gear to explore the Arrowhead and the other faces in the area. I haven't been to Hanging Basket yet but am excited to wander those crags

Minerals, are you on FB? Dave Yerian and I are completing a book on Tuolumne. We may be able to use this. How can I get in touch with you if you are not on FB?

Thanks, Lynne! Glad you like it.

Yes, Dave told me about the book years ago. If you don’t mind posting a coded email address here, I can send you an email. No FB for me.

Chris and RJ, I don't want to make you feel bad or anything.....:) But this is why this place needs to be handed over to another and not given the IV morphine to put it to sleep. (Sorry, harkening to the past there.) Thousands of such encounters and discoveries have taken place here!

I just printed off my husband "Dan Leichtfuss passed on Thread" so his grandkids would have a booklet of great particulars, knowing what a super grandpa they had.

Cheers, lynnie

Minerals, this book has been a wonderful work in progress! Ask Dean Fidelman about picture collecting for books from this crazy tribe and our book spans @ 40 years.

Here is my "if a business needs an email for me address". I will look at it today to get yours. Thanks! Did you make that or only photograph it?

Cheers! lynnie
