So WhimperGirl has been climbing here the past few days and I really don't understand what all the "Appreciation" is about.

Sure, she's smart, easy-going, attractive, strong and wise, but who isn't? Big deal.

First of all, she's lazy, Here a typical image of her slacking after a mild session of blood pumping cracks and face at the base of El cap.

Who would want to put up with a chick like that?

Next, she's shameless. Here's a shot of her on Central Pillar. When I led the pitch, she friggin short roped me for a brief moment. I let her have it! Next thing you know she's following the pitch smiling like she didn't do anything wrong.
shameless
That really gets my goat.

To add insult to injury, she a pansy quitter! Just moments before she stuck this traverse on Serenity Crack, she had asked me to take! I said no friggin way Betty, get cranken. So she did! She thinks that showed me!

Some might think the fact she sent the 10d crux on the next pitch clean made up for that, particulary after she recovered from her foot sliipping. I call those people weak minded!

The fact that she hasn't slept with all the men on Supertopo is clear proof that she's A MAN HATER! I think my "sensitive new-age guy" routine kept her from going off on me this week but now that she's flying home I can finally express my true man feelings!

She's not even that smart. We were chilling at the river and she couldn't even tell which variety of bird-eatin' hawk flew by at high speed because, supposedly, the male of one kind is the same size as the female of the related variety. Well Crimpie, was it a Coopers or not??!!!

I'm cool an all, ready to bury the axe I'm grinding and even appreciate her a bit. I just had to get that off my chest. Maybe Ya'll can talk her into coming to the Facelift so she can redeem herself. Offer her some swag or freaky flyer miles or somethin'

"Clutch, Karl. I'm jealous."

You shouldn't be. I don't even want to get started on the glass of wine she spilled in my hot tub.

Good thing I'd been cookin Sammy Teel and his wife Kim in the thing all week to so it needed changin anyway!

Hey Karl,

You forgot to mention that on the traverse, she is using six points of contact. It's just not fair.

Bwahahahaaa!

Hey, the extra points of contact don't make it easier - higher friction on the traverse. I get an extra letter grade I think. :)

It was a fantastic time - how could it be anything other than that really? I hope to find some time tomorrow to hack out a TR and share some other photos. Until then, I offer the following as evidence of how much fun Karl had with me there regardless of his whimpering. See his big ol' smile?

Oh. Yeah. The wine in the hot tub. An accident. My bad. Perfectly good wine gone just because my foot slipped.

offwidth check list:

hightop shoes (e.g. Kaukulators, Megas or JBs)

long sleave shirt, usually with holes on the shoulder blades

jeans, blood stains on the knees

bruised body parts, especially on thighs from knee jams and upper arms

large hunks of flesh missing from hands

variety of scars and "permenant bruises" with associated stories

Personal Protection Equipment: tape, knee pads, elbow pads

if you see characters exhibiting any or all of these characteristics, the LEOs will be chattering about 10.96 on the radio

RE:
" jeans, blood stains on the knees "

non-stretch pants did (do) seem to make a big difference.

I am an offwidth failure it appears. However, I do have some spectacular thigh bruising from so-called "foot jams" (whose feet are that friggin' big????)
