If a picture is worth a thousand words, what are two worth...?

ps. In the first shot, that's Josh local Brant Allen doing his thing in the background. The second pic was taken by my friend Jeff Lieberman.

THE most beautiful thing is being rocked to my core by the overwhelming sense of gratitude that I have for my life when I remember to stop and think about it.

Beautiful Chiloe!

I was just outside - it's cool and the moon is again beautiful with Venus shining brightly next to it. Anyone see it? Gorgeous.

Blowboarder, Molly says "Hey, hope your doing well in ID." Yeah, we are distantly related, cool. You and Carly get some living arrangements figured out? Small world, though--if you make it out to Montana, look us up, plenty of climbing to be had in the Batholith. Cheers, cuz.

edit: sorry gang for the family reunion thread-drift.

It's funny, from our house we barely see the summer moon because it's low in the sky, behind trees. In winter, though, the moon's high overhead and lights up our white world of snow.

What we do see this time of year, when I walk the dog on our dark trail through the woods -- fireflies. Sometimes at dusk they're doing whatever they do about 4 feet off the ground, so all around us the forest sparkles like a special effect.

The sun creeping down bridger jacks and slowly engulfing the scores of frigid dirtbags...Nothing better than sipping on some java in the early morning light.

A warm spring morning birding in the east. Seeing lots of warbleheads....

Watching a lighting storm and the smell of the rain

We were at an outdoors wedding last weekend with dancing under a big tent at night. A bat wandered in and spent several minutes flying frantically through the guests, looking for his exit again. That was entertaining, although not THE most beautiful thing.

But (back on topic) Crimpie, I can see why you love your baby parrots.
