I'm planning on heading out on Wed. Aug 1 in the evening.
Seems that all the difficult uncertainties have resolved.
However, 510OW is not ready for the trip yet.... but D has allowed me to take the new car.

I think the only brewery in laramie is the altitude on 2nd st. Pretty good beer, very high hangover factor....

I don't think anyone's trying to lead me astray (at least not on this thread?).
I am in such a time warp & haven't kept up w/ this thread. Thanks for the clarification : ) but I'm afraid that I can't make the boogaloo : (
I'll still be on the Grand during #1 & have to fly back to DC for #2. Bummer.
If anyone's headed for JH after the first, MisterE & I'll be down from the Grand by the 6th.

OK, one day away from launching on the roadtrip to the Vedauwoo Boogaloo, Round 1.
Stich and Goatboy have done a grand job at keeping this gathering going, and the innovative response to a scheduling glitch has bifurcated the event into two weekends in August.
I'll be there, along with other Left-coasters... to play on the wide cracks and pay homage to their diffculty with sacraficial DNA offerings (only bringing 10 rolls of tape for 7 days of climbing!)...
...if you're going to be there this weekend I look foward to seeing you! I have no idea how this is all going to end up, but the goal is to get together and climb in a legendary place.
Don't forget there is a website http://www.vedauwoo.org/ to help set your mood.

I completely thrashed my hands on the Black Wall at Mt Evans on Sunday. Not what you want going into a Vedauwoo weekend. sheesh!

I'm there Friday afternoon/evening.
I'll be riding with Goatboy, or Stich or Taco Bill, or sumpin'/somebody.
And since eeyonkee started the running ticker tape of excuses, which we must needs posess in spades, I have to say I still have the remnants of a gobi, well, really a pink bubble gum like scar tissue incurred at the Woodson Shindig.
