Hey Chiloe--Stop forging my signature!!!

Heh, I need a new initial! And answering your earlier question yes, she's often the better photographer, although she works with the handicap of having a worse model. Puts up with him anyway for some reason.

I'm very interested in a modest introduction to one or two of those classic Eastern granite venues; Cathedral, Whitehorse, Cannon come to mind.

We got classics from the counterparts of Calypso (Cathedral's Thin Air) or 3rd Flatiron (Whitehorse's Standard Route) on up, there's sure to be something that sounds fun. Several really good 9s and 10s make the list.

Tarbuster,

If you make it over to Maine on your trip, be sure to look me up in Bar Harbor -- I'll give ya a tour of Acadia.

As I recall, you're the guy driving my old 2002, right?

Hi Jeff,
That's right, just took it out for a spin a couple days ago.
Needs a CV joint or two presently...

Won't make it to Maine this trip (too short) but I'll log your contact away, because I would love to do Bar Harbor.

Hey Chiloe,
Let's see a couple more shots of your hero on da rock, eh?

I was gonna lay off but since you asked, here's another one that I like. As the adventure level took unexpected turns, has your lover ever given you the look, "What have you got us into?"

Our hike somehow became steeper, we had a short rope but no gear, going down no longer looked like fun. Safety must be upwards. One big challenge, off camera, was the 65-pound husky we had to wrap up and haul hand-over-hand through the overhangs.

Not one of my stellar-judgment days, but the three of us were OK by sunset, swimming in a sandstone pool above the road.

Excellent!
'Looks like one of those New Yorker caption challenges.

I like the one upthread, probably late 70's/early 80's, with the red 2" swami; that whole get up replete with running shorts & EB/Fire type boots just looks right to my eye.

I like how her socks match her top. That's style! Not like the mismatch crap we wear nowadays...clashing colors or better yet, no color at all.

Chiloe, like the man said, you don't need to be buying any lotto tickets. You've used up all your luck. (except on the rock, of course!)

Great pics.

Awesome thread, Chiloe -- love the recent Cayman shots.

I'm coming up on 19 years with my hero(ine). After supporting me through grad school and having two beautiful girls, she graduates with her MSW next month. She rocks.

first trip to Devil's Tower (1992)

hiking in the snowies a couple years ago

goofing off rather than attending a conference in '06

and a photo w/note courtesy of Chiloe's hero (the kid-free desert trip, 2000?)

Heh, she knows it, too.

Museum, is that S Platte or the Voo? This weekend or years ago?

Tradman, loved the color and atmosphere in your shot -- that looks frameworth.
"Float like Butterfly Land Like a Tomato" indeed.
