Kathy Kiker-Snowman of Amherst, MA. Kathy died of ovarian cancer last year(2007). She was an instructor at the Hampshire College outdoor program for many years, having previously worked for Outward Bound. She was an incredibly energetic and active person with boundless enthusiasm that motivated all around her. She climbed extensively, with an early free ascent of the West Face of El Cap as just one of many climbs that she accomplished.
