Rumor had it the flick was based on our high school, Clairemont High in San Diego, though on mature reflection I'd guess it was really Claremont High in Claremont CA.

I graduated from CHS, the one in Claremont, and "on mature reflection" I think I missed the Fast Times At Ridgemont High period, too early... though we probably had a better time than depicted in the movie. Ah, back in the day...

...lots of rep, not sure about the reality.
