There are a number of nursing jobs open at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop! More will be posted soon, including Med/Surg, ICU and Perinatal positions. Check out www.nih.org for details. The hospital is being staffed by more and more climbers- it's great!

The hospital is being staffed by more and more climbers- it's great! I am currently on the Palisades Traverse, but I will direct the appendectomy via Facetime.

Brandon- to his credit- actually showed up - unlike the other 8 electricians we called.
Plumbers- no such luck.

Los Angeles plumbers get about 120$ per Hr topside work.
Bishop plumbers get 40 to 50$ per Hr. no wonder no plumbers are coming your way.
I don't do plumbing work too much anymore, I work Local 80 union Rigging Grip and Stunts Sag Aftra Rigging pays way more and U get Health INs and a nice Pension too.
I thought MR E is a Lic contractor? CSLB.

I did find a good door guy (starts with an A or E :-)), but have been waiting 6 days to get a quote from Ace for the door.

Thank you all for the references and sorry for the thread drift- at least it keeps the RN part from falling off the page. Maybe someone looking for a job will see it.
and...*sigh* Jeff blah-blahs about things he knows nothing about as usual. E's a carpenter- he's busy working full time and complicated electrical issues and major plumbing installations aren't his thing.
I can assure you- plumbers in this town can charge a premium ... when they actually show up. No one works cheap. The guys that re piped this place several years ago got paid $175 (each) an hour on top of their (marked up) materials. The electricians charge the same. Eldrich is the only one that would even return a phone call BTW.

Oh frumy I got my Lic&bond years ago and earned it, I pay my dues to work in this state, some choose not to. If he works for a contractor all good for him.
