President Trump said on Wednesday that Russia was no longer targeting the United States...
Hell, everybody targets the United States. It's the smart play.

The drooling idiots calling this treason are literally shitting themselves because what the hysteria is about is that liberalism has been dealt a body blow with Trumps ability to pick supreme court justices.

I have no problem with this as to the victor goes the spoils and I put that on progressives, not trump. Treason as a basis for impeachment should be based on actualizing his white nationalist agenda as a public officeholder and his rapprochement with Russia.

Other grounds for impeachment are his attacks on the fourth estate, endless baldfaced lies on official matters, and his defense of radical rightwing groups.

Mueller will take care of it all I suspect given he has on staff the nations top expert on executive privilege, several top forensic accounting folks, a seasoned white-collar crime expert, an organized crime specialist, solid tax folks, and one of the best cyber-crime federal prosecutors and his staff.

That is funny, right there,Couch. You really believe he will win another term.

Alternative reality.

Since he has not shown his taxes,he may not be allowed to even run in a few states.

But in all honesty,if the neoliberals get their way and run Biden or Pelosi or (insert corporate liberal here) he will.

And speaking of taxes, let’s never forget that this mess really got its legs because the republican party did not vet its candidates. Whatever headaches befall that party as a result are richly deserved. Cowards.

Conservative leaning columnist George Will summed in up nicely today in an oped in the Washington Post....”this sad, embarrassing wreck of a man.”

He also called him " . . . a Vesuvius of mendacity."

Other grounds for impeachment are his attacks on the fourth estate, endless baldfaced lies on official matters, and his defense of radical rightwing groups.

Love this new world you've imagined, Joe! Where criticizing "the fourth estate" is a crime--their poor behavior notwithstanding. Was Obama in jeopardy when he did the same? E.g. spied on reporters, demanded administration 'observers' attend editing sessions, handed down false indictments against James Rosen, etc., etc., etc.

Can the President still criticize/talk down to the Supreme Court, like, during the State of the Union Address? Can he still complain about Congress? All crimes in your universe?

Baldface lies on official matters? Like "you can keep your plan and your doctor?"

Finally, criticizing ANTIFA is not tantamount to defending nut-jobs.

All that said, I'll repeat that Trump should be censured for this last fiasco. Even if there are valid "interpretations" of what he said in public and/or private, a clear message is in order. At the very least, he's 'winging it' with a nuclear-armed adversary. He has to stay on script.

I've always said Trump is a reincarnation of Andrew Jackson. Let him join #7 in the "censured" column.

At no point has any president except trump mounted a deliberate and systematic attack on the fourth estate - ever.

Sorry, Joe, but you're just plain wrong. You're a generalist and a liberal--a rarity--so I hold a certain level of admiration for your perspective. If you'd tone down the histrionics just a bit, and brush up on your history, there might be a good discussion to be had.

Yes, Obama tried to find the source of some leaks. That's gonna piss off the press.

To equate that with what Trump is doing daily from his bully pulpit is your classic false equivalency.

Bret Stephens:

"Right now, Bolton and Pompeo are parties to a Russia policy they would never otherwise advocate and cannot possibly defend in light of their public views. This means that they are either violating their principles, or had none to begin with.

If it’s the latter, by all means they should stay put and enjoy the aphrodisiac of power for however long it may last. If the former, the only decent course is to resign. The sooner they do it, the more they can preserve of their honor."

Moose you can always retire in Canada and instantly have 30% more retirement cash and then have a decent spot for your family to retreat to when your imaginary world falls apart.
