Somebody has been drinking their own urine enough to believe it's lemonade.

Given that "the public sector" has no money of its own, and that what money it has is extracted from the very producing companies and individuals that you say only EMERGE from "public sector" funds, please explain that chicken/egg problem to us.

Good Grief! Xcon and frostback there are ways to communicate to one another as well as engage the readers providing interesting discussion during debate. What you say sounds like 4th graders at recess. Sorry, but I think others would agree. Hardly elevates the thread level here at the campfire. Happy 4th of July!

It hit 100f. for the first time this year today! I enjoyed an Italian sausage "hot-dog" for lunch & we're & we're grilling BBQ pork riblets for dinner, with a side of grilled spuds & fresh tomato-basil salad from Heidi's garden.

The exciting Choss Creek fireworks display is tonight, with a good possibility of the fireworks setting brushfires like last year. What a great 4th of July!

Darn! Things would be pretty-good, if Craig Fry was back on ST & Trump was in jail.

Tonight was a "big-night" at the annual Choss Creek 4th of July fireworks show. Two brush fires got started by errant fireworks, but our ace fire-fighters put both of them out, while the fireworks show went on!

Ain't rural America Great!

I should explain that we & our neighbors drive up the river canyon towards Choss Creek & park beside the highway about a 1/4 mile below town & the fireworks. We used to park about 200 yeards below the fireworks, but after a few years of having defective fireworks coming down within a few hundred feet, a cop finally ran us off. It was kind of a relief not to be in the danger zone, but the fun-factor went way down.

Saw 6 jump but only saw 3 chutes! Didn’t hear any ambulances so I guess I missed ‘em.

Trump recently re-released a video that I believe I saw some months before.
The narcissistic media, is taking it as a shot at them, but seems designed to undermine any remaining vestiges of credibility the Mueller investigation has. The (D)s are so sure here, that Trump will not be President. Coupled with the Strozok tweet, and the DNC sabotage of Bernie Sanders, there is a compelling case that the Mueller investigation is staged to make good on their assertions.

The bizarre Giuliani TV appearances yesterday all begin to reveal the (R) strategy to hold onto the Senate this election cycle.

I'm with you DMT. I grew up in a rural area and I love those people, but sometimes they can be trying. I recently moved to a part of arizona which is about as far right as one can get. Almost everyday I hear from someone who loves Trump. They absolutely can't hear anything negative about the man. I have tried multiple different tactics. They absolutely hate Obama and Hillary, and completely love Trump. And yet I know that they have good qualities. If you need help, they will show up. But the blindness is hard to stomach at times. Kind of like some liberals on this forum during the election, when someone said anything against Hillary. Many of them still can't see why some people have reservations about Hillary, and they will piss in your pot if you let them. To me it means people are people, on both sides of the aisle. They both have blind spots and biases, thats why I am always on the look out for my own blind spots or biases.

The one thing that I haven't run into is an articulate and well reasoned libertarian. Blue came the closest. The rest that I have met or read rely on poor logic and some of the worst reasonings. They are so bitter that they just can't see or hear anything that conflicts with what they believe. Benghazi!!! Waco!!! There are plenty of those people in both the liberal and conservative party. The difference for me has been that I have met and read the writings of articulate and well reasoned liberals and conservatives. Though I might disagree with their reasons or arguments, I can see how they come to their conclusions.

I'm working very hard on myself to get away from "gotcha" or "identity" politics. Its fun to play gotcha politics, and its piss easy to play identity politics, but all it really does is make things worse. So we all end up being the person "got" or labeled. I am not a liberal or a conservative. I have aspects of and beliefs of both parties. I tend to vote liberal because currently they are the least disagreeable, but if they don't come up with someone better then Hillary, who sold her soul, its going to be another hard row for the liberals.

Now we can't go blamin em for holdin true to a little nonsense now and again. That just wouldn't be right!

Its not about turning a blind eye. Of course people have to be held accountable. But holding people accountable does not necessarily mean demonizing them. All too many people want to just do away with those who disagree with them. And they have the same energy towards all things they disagree with, such as laws or anything that seems like politics. Thats a dangerous route. We could end up killing the very thing that we want to save. Then what good would that do? Trump's slash and burn is a good example. That does not mean that I want to go back to the status quo and give the country to the Hillarys of the world. We need to do better. Find a leader with balanced views. But thats going to be difficult as long as so many just want to slash and burn. The moderates in this country are going to have to unite.

Edit: one adam side wall Power crux. how about down sizing that pic?

Jesus people, when you communicate by saying that those 5th graders are acting like 4th graders, you sound like you’re a 6th grader at recess. Can we all please start acting like 7th graders, at least?

My gratitude and admiration to those few exceptional humans who find themselves able to do that.

To the rest of us, best all!, regardless.
