Damn, did the N. Face route about 25 years ago and the approach was one of the hardest days of my life--brutal bushwhacking and steep slabs with a big pig on my back. Looks like that route was spared, but damn! I also bivied on the pitch 11 ledge on HD back then, too. Now THAT'S gone as well. Heard there was some big rock fall over on the West Face of El Cap, another route I've done. Glad I dodged all them granite bullets. Jeez.

There was about 1 ft of rock dust on the ledge directly below the start of the red route.
Crazy! Another reason why I no longer climb (age, family and gravity being the others). The potential of death falling on you is greatly reduced when you're hiking.
