just the facts ma'am

“That's other people that do that," Trump replied. "I don't. I'm very consistent. I'm a very stable genius.”

and can float in toilet bowl and sting like a b

Meanwhile, in the heartland

I went back to Ohio
But my pretty countryside
Had been paved down the middle
By a government that had no pride
The farms of Ohio
Had been replaced by shopping malls
And Muzak filled the air
From Seneca to Cuyahoga Falls
Said, ay, oh, way to go, Ohio

"ask where are the poor and they call you a saint,
ask why they are poor and they call you a communist"

I like this quote a lot.

And that trump toilet scrubber is awesome! I tried to buy one on etsy but I think they sold out (all payment methods are not available right now).

When Rush Limbaugh started using the famous bass line from her song “My City Was Gone” as his bumper music, her publishing company tried to make him cease and desist, but Hynde demurred, saying her parents liked the show and she didn’t mind despite Limbaugh’s politics. Limbaugh’s simply paid a fee for the song since.

Stormy Daniels was arrested by undercover vice officers at a Columbus, Ohio, strip club. She was charged with inappropriate touching of officers and patrons. Her bail was $6000.

The charges were dismissed by the D.A. the next morning.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2018/07/12/stormy-daniels-is-arrested-at-an-ohio-strip-club-michael-avenatti-says/

It is possible that the arrest of Daniels was intended as a media diversion by someone with the power to urge Columbus police to harass Daniels. It could have also been retaliatory harassment for her lawsuit against Donald Trump and Michael Cohen.

Jim Jordan is a U.S. Congressman from Ohio.

Jordan is currently under investigation for failing to report, or otherwise properly respond to, sexual abuse of student wrestlers who were under his supervision.

Jordan claims that over eight years as a wrestling coach at Ohio State University, he was unaware of any sexual misconduct by the school's doctor. His students, and many others, say it is impossible that Jordan was unaware of what was going on.

Jordan is a rabid supporter of Trump, and an outspoken critic of the Mueller investigation. Jordan claims that Trump's fictitious "deep state" is behind the Ohio State sex scandal story.

Limbaugh told a pair of reporters in 1997 that "it was icing on the cake that it was [written by] an environmentalist, animal rights wacko and was an anti-conservative song. It is anti-development, anti-capitalist and here I am going to take a liberal song and make fun of [liberals] at the same time."

I haven't watched CSPAN in ages, but pretty ugly power struggles going on right now:
https://www.c-span.org/video/?447953-2/fbi-deputy-assistant-director-peter-strzok-testifies-2016-investigations&vod&start=0

edit: I had it going on in the background while I was working on something else that involved a fair amount of waiting between steps. I turned it off because I realized how dysfunctional the arguing and yelling and talking over the top of each other it was, and my daughter was in hearing range. I didn't want to (1) expose her to that type of unhealthy communication; and (2) didn't want her to get scared about how our country is run. It's like being locked into the back seat of a car and powerless while the adults in the front seat are fighting with each other and not noticing the cliff they are driving off.

Trump's racism is emboldening people to accost black and hispanic people engaged in everyday activities. Fortunately, many of these white racists have been fired, arrested, or their businesses have been boycotted, for what they have done.

These are examples of Trump's influence coming back to bite his supporters in the ass. They follow Trump's lead, and they suffer for it.

These incidents are further proof that Donald Trump is not some magical, or God-like, entity who can conjure a valid alternative reality simply by making absurd statements. Unfortunately, his supporters are quick to embrace him, but slow to learn the consequences.

I've only seen highlights so far, via CNN International, I'll no doubt hear more later, but I might have a new hero...

Peter Strzok!!

Congressional Republicans: zero credibility. If these were my associates in some capacity, I would be so embarrassed.

There will be a video. It needs to be watched.

One item that became clear after watching for just a few minutes- the politicians have mastered the interrogation process of ignoring the responses of the person under question, enabling media outlets and facebook videos to make selective video clips that can completely mis-characterize the situation or make presumptions about what the person being interrogated must have said.

After seeing how the Republican folks were doing this, I am going to be more vigilant when watching for Democrat folks doing it too. Be very wary when watching a highlight reel from any news outlet. It can be easily edited to tell whatever story is desired because there are two disconnected narratives happening in alternation.

For his part, Peter Strzok seemed to be as cooperative as he could be within the constraints of what the FBI is willing to let him share, without compromising active investigation. If these video clips were the only thing I had to judge him and the situation by, I would look favorably on his work motivation and desire to act with integrity.

It was a bit funky for him to assert that he has no bias... it might have been better for him to define what he means by "no bias", which seems to be "not motivated to an opinion by something not factual".

It is an interesting and important question for people in positions that require ethical integrity and trust, how appropriate is it to probe into their personal lives in terms of extramarital affairs? It does say a lot about a person's morality and ethical backbone. But it may not be the only or even the most important indicator... perhaps other emotional issues and beliefs about family and children and the permanence of marriage, perhaps these things could lead a person to an extramarital affair when otherwise they have a strong moral/ethical fiber. That doesn't describe me, but it seems plausible (or at least I am open to further consideration).

Perhaps it would shatter the tatters of our civilization if all work of public servants or military personnel or bankers or others in a position of trust was nullified if people had affairs... it seems they are just too common and it would bring the mechanics of our civilization to a halt.

Well aware of media misrepresentation, and a 80 year old still accused him of lies to his wife.

Maybe his no bias assertion is similar to Trumps.

These anti-investigation hearings by GOP Congressmen are the very definition of Circus Ludicrous.

I fixed the Congressman's quote for him:

"I can't help but wonder when I see you looking there with a little smirk — how many times did you look so innocently into your wife's eye and lie to her about Ivanka, Putin, Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal?"

Sorry to say seems like you've been brainwashed if you think Strzok came across well--he seems more like a pathological liar--as one of the questioners more-or-less put it: he knows everyone knows he's lying, but he just can't stop himself.
Putting his adultery affair with co-worker and fellow Trump basher was absolutely appropriate--again as the Congressman put it, Strzok is a man without shame, without a shred of integrity, without anything but his silly little smirk that libtards seem to accept just because he happens not to like Trump (or at least that's what he said to Page, maybe he was just trying to keep is adultery-partner, co-worker, co-conspirator happy . . .
