George W Bush was admitted to Yale in 1964 under an affirmative-action policy for children of alumni — what colleges call a “legacy” system. “Legacy” policies — preferential treatment of children of alumni

*Bush never released his high-school grades from Andover — an elite New England prep school that his father had also attended — or his SAT scores. But when The New Yorker got hold of Bush’s Yale records, it discovered that he scored a 566 on the verbal SAT and a 640 on the math SAT — 180 points below the median score for his Yale classmates

Clearly, this proves that white people like George W Bush can only get into good colleges with the aid of Affirmative Action Programs

but George was a Credit to His Race, he did graduate in spite of low racial genetic intelligence.

Just in case...

"C#m laude" is a Latin term that translates to “with honor” in English. "Magna c#m laude" means “with great honor,” and "summa c#m laude" means “with greatest honor." In U.S. academics, the terms designate graduates who have distinguished themselves with exceptional grades or performances in a particular area of concentration or field of endeavor.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

That cracks me up. Everything is so politically-correct these days, a latin phrase is censored as being obscene.

And Apu, on the The Simpson's TV show, is now persona non grata, after being on the show for 29 seasons.

I wrote an email to my father, explaining how a pimp takes his earnings to buy bling, so that additional ladies are attracted to him. He then pimps them to get more bling, to attract more ladies, to get more bling, and so forth.

My father suggested that my little story sounded racist.

I pointed out to him that the pimp I had in mind was a white country boy, and his bling was a big ol' belt buckle with a silver dollar in the middle, a $600 Stetson hat, and $6000 Kimodo Dragon-skin boots.

Not all that blings is gold.

The theory is Harvard gave Obama the honors without regard to his grades.
Harvard was heavily invested in politicizing having the first black (half black really, but who's counting) editor of their law review. That's clear from contemporaneous records.

Far fetched? Not nearly so much as the nonsense people have been spouting about Trump colluding with the Russkies (and so what if he did a little bit? Look at who Obama liked to hang out with (domestic terrorists)).

Anyway, Kerry released his transcripts, apparently with some reluctance (not surprising since he was a bad student).
http://www.nbcnews.com/id/8127403/ns/politics/t/kerry-got-slow-start-yale-transcript-shows/#.WuJOe4jwaF4

If someone like Kerry ultimately fessed up to having crappy grades, we could reasonably guess that Obama's were somewhat worse, or he may have released them and said at least they weren't any worse that Kerry's. (Not saying they were, just that it would be reasonable speculation.)

Bush's grades were leaked. Could it have been the Russians who did it? Maybe with Kerry's collusion?

Oh and not that serving at Kingtut's beck and call is my highest priority, but I am glad he didn't have to wait long :)

False equivalents

The output from Trump, Hannity, Fox News and InfoWars comprises an omnia exempla of logical fallacies and defective arguments.

Entire textbooks on logic, reason and rhetoric could be based on corrections to just a few days' output from those guys.

you're confusing "hypothesis" with "theory"

And, don't confuse "hypothesis" with "dementhesis", which is a demented hypothesis.

EDIT: I corrected my defective Latin.

blahblah, you're confusing "hypothesis" with "theory". There are no facts to support your hypothesis, so it's not a theory. Fantasy may be a better word for it.

About the only real "facts" we have is that Obama refused to release his transcripts, notwithstanding that they were the subject of legitimate public interest and there was clear recent precedent to release college transcripts for presidential candidates.

I don't know how they do it in your country, but I can tell you that in the US, people who graduate from law schools generally provide transcripts to potential employers.

Isn't a presidential candidate looking for a job from the American people?

I would say it's almost certain that Obama's actual grades were worse than what he calculated people would assume they were. That's why he didn't release them.

Trump’s real-estate company tried to avoid renting apartments to African-Americans in the 1970s and gave preferential treatment to whites, according to the federal government.

*Trump treated black employees at his casinos differently from whites, according to multiple sources. A former hotel executive said Trump criticized a black accountant: “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. … I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks.

He spent years suggesting that the nation’s first black president was born not in the United States but in Kenya, a lie that Trump still has not acknowledged as such.

Trump called Obama (who was editor in chief of the Harvard Law Review) “a terrible student, terrible.”

anyone who to this day does not believe Trump has been and continues to be an ignorant racist is well, just really stupid themself

Good stuff Norton. Got anything more recent than 25 years ago.

xcon - loved the dog-whistle, barely connected dots about Trump's trip to Poland. Comical seeing how it was pieced together.

Your "proof" about Trump being a racist is little more than all the Trump haters keep repeating it, so it must be true. fits the narrative.

Maybe I'm not old enough to have paid attention to long term cycles in politics... but have we ever been through a time where so many people are focused on real or imagined faults of prior office-holders or candidates when egregious faults are on full display at the present? Is it just repeating the arguments put out by the propaganda machines?

Even if various allegations/hypotheses about former presidents or former candidates were true... does that make it ok that we are experiencing the dismantling of institutions, which will make it harder for most us to pursue happiness and prosperity while protecting those who march to the beat of a different drummer? Is the implied basis of the deflection arguments that our political leaders have always been very screwed up and so we should just accept the screwed-up-ness of our present leaders and the policy decisions that they entail?

Just a little bit of thought should lead folks to question the parroting of petty ideas that distract from the important issues that affect us all.

"Where's the beef" crowd should realize that Sometimes it's a long and complicated process to connect up all the dots.

JJ is said to be claiming that it's all A big witch hunt

Quote Here
Sacramento investigators tracked down East Area Rapist suspect Joseph James DeAngelo using genealogical websites that contained genetic information from a relative, the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office confirmed Thursday.

The effort was part of a painstaking process that began by using DNA from one of the crime scenes from years ago and comparing it to genetic profiles available online through various websites that cater to individuals wanting to know more about their family backgrounds by accepting DNA samples from them, said Chief Deputy District Attorney Steve Grippi.

The investigation was conducted over a long period of time as officials in Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert's office and crime lab explored online family trees that appeared to have matches to DNA samples from the East Area Rapist's crimes, Grippi said. They then followed clues to individuals in the family trees to determine whether they were potential suspects.
