What Crazy Locker said 3500$ + Shipping, not that hard to add.

Good luck Brother Cosmic.

Biggest mistake ever selling your climbing gear, as therein lies your health and hope. Don't do it Cosmic. You won't get full amount for it, and so hard to replace once its gone. You will overcome these problems, just stay at it.

Agreed with Studly. What kind of nut are you looking at to get this all behind you?

hey there say... oh my, please wait... don't give up...

i do not know many folks that have had a good 'save' from
these kinds of situations, but, i have heard
a few stories from others, in my life...

somehow, something happened, and it worked out... sadly,
though, i know it can take years... and as we get older,
we may not have as many young years left, as we hope for...

but, you never know...

hang on long... the tides can always turn...

miracles may be hard to come by, but they are not
unheard of...

maybe a door of help will open before you know it,
or, better than you ever dreamed of...

Cosmic, hang onto your harness, shoes & chalk bag, maybe a rope and a few runners. Something might change and you could be a belay slave/follower. Best of luck. Don't give up.

I would gladly make a small donation, if it helps you keep your gear and the opportunity to use it again.

Cosmic.....The honorable Paul Ryan , Congressman , speaker of the house , is going to try and eliminate medicare as we know it , or in his words re-structure it...Let's hope for your sake and others that he doesn't succeed...Best of luck on paying off the loan...rj

I am sorry for your predicament, Cosmic, and wish you the best.

Of course you must keep your harness, belay device and at least one pair of shoes. You can always climb on your partners gear/rope. Don't forget, TR parties are as much about seeing good friends and meeting new ones as the climbing. And if it really(really) hurts, your belayer can lower you(after razzing you appropirately).

true

the Republicans now in power are talking about gutting Medicare and just giving seniors
a "voucher" they can use to go buy private, for maximum profit, health insurance

the amount of the voucher I have read is about $7000 for a year coverage, far less then Medicare

but then, all this was well known by the very informed people who voted against their own self interests by voting the Republicans in power again

like Cosmic and Locker, I now have a dreaded pre existing condition with my back problems

Ok

Can I suggest someone start a Go Fund Me page for Cosmic, I don't know how to that.

He NEEDS money, some have offered on this thread!

He may be down but not out, what do you think?

It would be nice if GoFundMe was used for actual emergencies instead of paying off personal debt. The loaner obviously had the $$ in the first place, so I doubt they are going hungry as a result of Cosmics lagging payment schedule.

Hmmm. Obviously Cosmic, you never got into the light gear phase, except for your loafers. Start a flipping Gofundme page, put your gear back in the closet, and let your brothers of the rope help you out a little. Just do it! Locker said he's doing matching funds everyone, so let's get on this!!

I'm in for a brotherhood of the rope donation. Don't want the gear. Just consider it a future Apple Valley guide fee. Cosmic, shoot me a mailing address and your real full name.

Sorry to hear life is beating you down right now. Medical bills are outta control...maybe our fuhrer trump will help you in these sad times.

How about I just kick you in the nuts and you give me your gear? This will keep the pain going but will make you stronger in the end.

Only way someone will pay $3500 for that would be out of charity so at that point might as well start the gofundme.

Maybe the person who loaned you the money would agree to a gofundme.
I doubt they give a damn where the money comes from.
