Yes, TFPU.

Maybe if we made a law that discontinued gun magazines, shut down facebook and made it illegal to turn your hand into a toy gun we could end this terrible gun violence.

Good grief.

EDIT: Just saw that Ole' "Double Barrel" Joe Biden has already declared he is running for president in 2020. Sweet. Politicos are so lucrative that people are now running four years in advance.

Give it a rest.

Coming from the guy that posted the video in the first place. Man, some of you guys are pretty funny.

shame on you and esco

His son died? That sucks. I'm bummed for him.

But I assure you, that has no bearing on the fact that Joe Biden is a COMPLETE F*#KING IDIOT.

Sorry, bro. He seems like a nice man. I'd buy him a beer.

Which probably counts for a lot more than we care to admit. It probably had a lot to do with GW's re-election.

How he is an idiot is not clear to me. He sometimes shoots his mouth off and says some weird things. As Donald Trump should have taught us all, that is not a defect when running for office, it is an ATTRIBUTE!

Biden is noted as relating well to the blue collar worker, and comes from a tough background.

He actually sounds quite attractive as a candidate. I worry about his age.

Pentagon hid study exposing $125 billion in wasteful spending

Senior defense officials moved to kill the internal study — which revealed more administrative waste than expected — by discrediting and suppressing the results, according to interviews and confidential memos obtained by The Washington Post. The military feared Congress would use the findings as an excuse to slash the defense budget.

Well, the military-industrial complex wins again. When Trump takes care of this (and if this is not low-hanging fruit, I don't know what is), I wonder what the destruction of $125 BILLION in jobs will do to the economy.

Apparently, Trump has let it be known that he does not want Air Force One replaced by Boeing, the only builder in America capable of building such a plane. Guess he likes the exchange rate.

DMT, I fear you are right about age.

I like Kamela Harris, but I think she needs about 10 years of federal experience.

Another example of 'fake news'. That number is off by multiple functions of 10's.

Then the mills started shutting down in the mid-to-late 70's. Youngstown is now bust. By the mid-90's, it had the highest murder-per-capita rate in the U.S. There was prolific arson - people burning down their homes because the insurance pay-out was greater than the house's resale value. The government has demolished scores of abandoned homes because they had become heroin dens and illegal brothels.

This process is not subject to the actions of the workers involved. They have nothing, including the education, to change things. Only industry, or gov't has the resources to do that. Industry discarded them like a rusty tool.

The mistake is to think that one can stop this with trade embargos and tariffs. That won't work, but it will drive inflation and slow progress.

For many years, there was a major attitude of "buy American", particularly autos. What resulted was an arrogance in Detroit---they had the American public by the short hairs---there was no reason to improve. They fought safety, they fought mileage, they fought efficiency and technological progress in autos. NOT UNTIL THE PUBLIC VOTED WITH THEIR WALLETS, and created the massive surge to overseas automakers did Detroit budge (wouldn't even build front wheel drive, until blown away by Toyota)

John E repeatedly posts that Gov't should not pick winners, but I disagree. I think that gov't needs to provide assistance to startups and new technology, to overcome the resistance to the established order, which would be fine with selling us buggy whips into the next century.

(sigh)

Riley, is what you learned that the more you lie, the more you are believed?

I posted my source, the Washington Post. Since I don't believe that YOU are a high Pentagon official with the clearances to read this stuff, post yours--for a change.

The democrats need to find another 40-something candidate. The old prescriptions are not effective anymore. The fact Pelosi kept her leadership role is precisely what is wrong with the democratic party, imo - too old and tired to change.

Ain't that the truth.

The Washington Post, is the number one fake news source along with CNN.

Well, I think there are too many vying for that top spot to even call a winner. Suffice to say the current situation makes mid-80's Russian disinformation look like propaganda Kindergarten.

It would be nice to see someone other than Biden run. One of the most salient pieces of political advice I've seen this year is that neither party should nominate someone whose turn it is. He's run twice already and when 2020 rolls around, 32 years would have passed since his first run. Time for someone new.

Silly. CNN has fallen but wapo is top notch. David Fahrentold should get a Pulitzer for his excellent reporting on trump's finances and charities.

Did China ask us if it was OK to devalue their currency (making it hard for our companies to compete), heavily tax our products going into their country (the U.S. doesn't tax them) or to build a massive military complex in the middle of the South China Sea? I don't think so!

thank you Donald!
