Brave new world
That was an interesting piece. I've been thinking about the recent events lately and one conclusion I'm coming up with is the frustration for people who have painted themselves in a corner and they are waiting around to be rescued. Poor business choices, Too much debt, house underwater- chickens coming home to roost.
The children who live in the red states-they completely get it- particularly the high plains- as soon as they turn 18, if they have any gumption at all, they immediately leave town. No one is left behind but the dead and dying. And why would you stay there? For the good people? Maybe, but their economies are all played out so they cant support each other or any newcomers.
The world only cares about what you have to offer it- If you're living in 1950 I'm thinking you have a tough shot thriving in the 21st century.

How much will it cost him to buy his way out of the child rape case next month?

Great article yanqui. I sent it to my brother, who's pretty damn conservative. I'll be interested in how he reacts to it.

If this forum is any indication, I'll kill myself before I hit my 60s.

Why can't you simply stay on point?

Yes, Susan, the outrageous, reality TV guy was elected. He is Jesus to many.

It happened because a lot of low information voters, racist and the Alt-right voted for Trump. Pretty simple, just like Trump.

Jeff Sessions is all you need to know.

Great opening line!! LOL! Patrick Compton said:
"Trump threads continue to get locked here quicker than Ondra is sending the Dawn Wall. I, like many in libtard circles, had been in a happy but naive multi-cultural neo-liberal bubble where the biggest issue in the last year was where do the trannies go pee?!"

Like most liberals blathering endlessly on Supertopo with your ill formed and incorrect opinions, you are a victim of confirmation bias. I'd suggest that checking in on the other side occasionally will broaden your mind. Here's a couple of links to double check what you think everyone else believes:

For myself, I was stunned and shocked to see Trump picked as the Republican candidate. He'd be a terrible President. However, I was equally shocked and stunned that Hillary was the democratic pick over honest candidates. I consider her so much worse than Trump, but in different ways. When I posted the stat that 40% of Bernie voters were going to be voting for Trump on Supertopo (even before the wikileaks that the DNC was screwing over Bernie) I get shouted down and name called. People just stopped engaging you all on your stupidity and ignorance. I see libs like Dirtbag recently claiming that despite people voting in Barak Obama twice, everyone who voted for Trump is a racist and so the whole country is essentially racist. Uhhh. OK then.

Nothing I can say to that. Shrugs shoulders, why even bother talking about it then. But bookmark and click on the links one in a while if you can take others viewpoints and thus broaden your own. It will be guaranfreakenteed to occasionally make libs blood boil, but they allow comments, and perhaps you folks can all share your wisdom there and have these engaging political debates that seem to serve no one here and soon get deleted.

Good luck and lets pray we make all it through the next 8 years!

I agree. Thanks Yanqui.

Maybe some of the more vocal libs will give it a read.

There's wisdom in them there words.

"Now you know Bob, your echo chamber isn't serving up an accurate slice of reality.

But I like how you took the loss. No crying, no wailing, no gnashing of the teeth; like a man.

Carry on! :)

I knew what we were getting with Hillary, a moderate.

With Trump you better get ready for a wild ride.

With Hillary, we were getting more of the same.

More national debt
A continued process of wealth going to the few
A continued process of jobs going overseas

Etc..

Trump is a disaster, but the sooner the left realize that part of what helped him get elected is a dissatisfaction with the elites programs for us, the sooner we can create a new message that will create hope for everyone.

Dying Angry white men isn't a useful message. Because 40 percent of hispanics voted for Trump.

The dems forget that seventy percent of the voters are white. The dems should quit trying to appeal to minorities, and should try and appeal more to the general public.
I like Sanders, and Warren, but if they try and lead the dem party farther down the left path, that could lead to another disaster.
What kind of legacy would that be to have your party lose to Donald Trump, twice?

Note: I think trump will be a one term president.

Lots of valid points DMT...The US got the worst of both worlds with NAFTA and the open border policy's.. Maufacturing jobs left the rust belt and 12 million illegals migrated to the US to find employment...Double whammy for any white enttry level or semi-skilled worker...There are so many variables that decided this election...The non-stop hammering of Hillary , the bogus polling predictions , white nationalism...I voted for Hillary after supporting Bernie... Trump was just too nutty with his day to day flip flopping and ambiguity on policy... The next 4 years are going to be real interesting...

"Do you think unemployed rust belt folks shop at Walmart? You know good and goddamn well plenty of them do, probably hundreds of thousands if not millions. When Walmart is the poster child of job exportation - we just can't help ourselves."

Low information voters have a history of voting against their own well being/interests. This election was no different.

And they will continue to shop at war-mart and complain about loss of American jobs on the other side of their mouth.

Bullshit on NAFTA...it did not effect loss of jobs in the US.

NAFTA seems to be the red headed stepchild for the right. Again low information voters jumping on lies and bullshit spew out by the right.

"A 2014 PIIE study of NAFTA's effects found that about 15,000 jobs on net are lost each year due to the pact—but that for each of those jobs lost, the economy gains roughly $450,000 in the form of higher productivity and lower consumer prices. "

You were not paying attention to her wall st speeches or her foreign politics ideas if you think she was a "moderate". Not many Americans want an open border and a war with Russia.

Edit: you mean the peasants work harder and the rich profit more as a result of sending their jobs overseas bob? Who knew? Let them eat cake right?

And " Low information voters have a history of voting against their best interest " ... Paul Ryan's goal of eliminating medicare is a perfect example of this...How many Trump voters are going to need medicare when they reach 65...? How many Trump voters even know what medicare is...? Another example is Trump promising to lower drug costs and now that he's elected he's reneged on this promise...

Lies on your part, she didn't want open borders or a war with Russia.

I also think you think civil rights is a far left idea/scam.

"How many Trump voters even know what medicare is...? Another example is Trump promising to lower drug costs and now that he's elected he's reneged on this promise..."

They also didn't understand the structure of of political system, congress holds the purse strings.

Yes just like Trump does with his clothing lines and more. Maybe there is hope for you.

She openly said in her wall st speeches her dream is an open border, it's why sanders wanted her to release the transcripts. Wikileaks did it for us instead. And her " no fly" zone over Syria was going to lead to a direct conflict with Russia
