Glad you learned that cheetahs can be quite large.

Good for you, Esco.

Carry on.

I bet that Leopard was hanging around with Rachel Dolezal or whatever her name is.

Cultural theft by felines is a big problem in Africa, I shouldn't be downplaying it.

Robert L- you don't seem to understand how illegals stagnate and depress wages in the us. We have seen various professions drastically affected by this, particularly in the trades . Is New Zealand afected By millions of people working below legal wages? Or is your country's immigration policy's sane?

It's hard for many to grasp how the US economy is affected by such things if you have never seen it firsthand. It's why white collar workers freak out about 85,000 hb1 visa workers let in yearly, while not caring of comprehending how 14 million plus illegals affect blue collar workers.

Regarding the Inauguration funding. I suspect Trump will follow Barry O's lead and restrict donations in an effort to appear sincere about his lobbying rhetoric........ but for the second inauguration he'll lift all the restrictions and allow anybody to bribe him for the last tour.

Perhaps because they don't affect blue collar workers. Contrary to what you may be incorrectly told, there are not millions of former union members clamoring to pick vegetables or clean up my yard.

And white collar workers can be replaced as well. For- who wants to sit on a computer all day ...right? Or will your talking points change when YOU are suddenly affected?

There is a serious disconnect with the elite in our country in terms of understanding the plight of the average worker. Even after the election of trump you people still don't get it
Apparently the irony of wanting a $15 minimum wage while simultaneously allowing illegals to work below legal wages competing for those same jobs is lost to the left.

CW, You are spot on about there generally being too little empathy for those working two jobs and not being able to pay their bills.

What makes the plight of those barely getting by even more tragic is that they put their hopes and dreams into electing a man that doesn't care about them.

Yeah, it's a leopard, but you show your ignorance, since cheatahs can go up to 159 lbs.

Retard.

And the heavier cheetahs are often mistaken for leopards?

And all black people look just alike...

Same goes for all those southeast Asians...

Do you think of them as Orientals?

The United States presidential election of 1876 was the 23rd quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 7, 1876. It was one of the most contentious and controversial presidential elections in American history. The results of the election remain among the most disputed ever, although it isn't disputed that Samuel J. Tilden of New York outpolled Ohio's Rutherford B. Hayes in the popular vote. After a first count of votes, Tilden won 184 electoral votes to Hayes's 165, with 20 votes unresolved. These 20 electoral votes were in dispute in four states. In the case of Florida, Louisiana, and South Carolina, each party reported its candidate had won the state, while in Oregon one elector was replaced after being declared illegal for being an "elected or appointed official". The question of who should have been awarded these electoral votes is the source of the continued controversy concerning the results of this election.

An informal deal was struck to resolve the dispute: the Compromise of 1877, which awarded all 20 electoral votes to Hayes. In return for the Democrats' acquiescence to Hayes's election, the Republicans agreed to withdraw federal troops from the South to end the Reconstruction Era of the United States. The Compromise effectively ceded power in the Southern states to the Democratic Redeemers, who went on to pursue their agenda of returning the South to a political economy resembling that of its pre-war condition, including the disenfranchisement of black voters.

This was the first presidential election since 1852 in which the Democratic candidate won a majority of the popular vote. This is also the only election in which a candidate for president received more than 50 percent of the popular vote, but was not elected president by the Electoral College, and one of five elections (in addition to 1824, 1888, 2000 and 2016) in which the person who won the most popular votes did not win the election. To date, it remains the election that recorded the smallest electoral vote victory and the election that yielded the highest voter turnout of the eligible voting age population[1][2] in American history, at 81.8%.

If that's a cheetah, he has a pituitary gland issue. Retards.

It's all well and good to point out a mistaken identification, but since it matters little to the point of the post, to call someone a "retard" for making said mistake is pathetic. Just sayin'.

Trump's play is for the US domestic audience.

"unpresidented"?

Probably plays well to the minority of US voters who elected him, but maybe not so well to the majority who voted against him. Or to China.

If we outsourced this kind of spelling work to the Chinese, maybe it would get done right, and we could continue to congratulate ourselves on our American exceptionalism.

TGT2, That Trump doesn't give a rats ass about anything but his own immediate interests isn't prognostication - it is direct observation of behavior.

My wife and I are buying a home currently, and neither of our folks make enough to help, even if we wanted it, which we don't.

Matter of fact, we partially support my mom and grandma, who live together. A little money also goes every month to my mother in law, who's looking for work. It doesn't leave much for ourselves, but that's what family is for.

Thanks for asking, and I'm sure you're local CC has adult learning classes to help with a variety of things. ;)

Edit; There's no hatred, I just think you need better education. Education is good, right?

Matters little to the point of the post? Its like holding up a sign that says "Save the Whales!" with a picture of a bald eagle on it. It matters a LOT that the PETArds don't know the difference between a cheetah and a leopard, they just don't like getting called on it and, as you can attest to, will downplay it at the earliest opportunity.

I guess we shouldn't blame the petrescue idiots, they only cut and pasted from WaPo on the article anyway.

And you guys claim fake news is the reason you lost the election? Oh right, it was because lying and cheating was beneath the Democratic candidate to engage in.......rotf

I've seen more evidence of that out of HRC and Bill.

At least Trump's employees seem to about universally like and respect him. (Right down to the doorman and janitors)

Then there is his "charity" used for getting his self portrait worship paintings and for political graft.

Comparison ratings Clinton Foundation & Trump Foundation

The rating organizations below are the top three listed by the Wall Street Journal.

Paid to programs in 2013
Clinton Foundation (197,000,000) Trump Foundation (not required to disclose)

Charity Navigator
Clinton Foundation (Overall 95%, Financial 97.5%, Transparency 93%, Money to programs 87%)
Trump Foundation (“not eligible to be rated by Charity Navigator”)

Guidestar
Clinton Foundation (Platinum rating for transparency)
Trump Foundation (not rated)

BBB Wise Giving Alliance
Clinton Foundation (not currently meeting 3 benchmarks - non-compensated chair, effectiveness policy, effectiveness reports; note; About 40 percent of the charities evaluated meet all 20 benchmarks)
Trump Foundation (not rated)

Apparently Clinton's charity programs benefiting the poor don't count for anything.

Apparently the charitable giving Trump gives to himself count in his favor.

Robert L- you don't seem to understand how illegals stagnate and depress wages in the us. We have seen various professions drastically affected by this, particularly in the trades.

Now, what kind of complete AssHole would hire illegal, undocumented workers just to save a little money?

"The building of Trump Tower was the true art of the deal," says the narrator. "Saving money was the key." Chapter 1: hire the cheapest demolition contractor you can find, even though he has little experience. Trump hired William Kaszycki, whose principal business was window-washing. Kaszycki in turn hired what became known as the 'Polish Brigade.' More than 200 immigrants with no working papers, who were paid 1/3 the union rate, and worked under difficult conditions."

That's how it works curt. A legal contractor simply undercuts the competition by using illegal labor. While I didn't vote and don't feel trumps promises will happen- why would it have been his responsibility to enforce federal laws un regards to the contractor mentioned?

Small business owners who believe in it are either fooled, or have some cognitive dissonance going on which allows them to justify the pitiful wage paid to workers with the ever present risk of losing that pitiful wage job.

If you were a small business owner, you would not be arguing as you are. Actual small business owners realize what being caught between a rock and a hard place is:

Rock = costs of doing business, which perpetually increase

Hard Place = market competition, which prevents the raising of product prices at will to accommodate the Rock

I'll sum it up again as simply as I can for you: If you insist that a worker's wages must immediately double, then that worker's productivity and value to the company must also immediately double (or close to it). There simply are not the "margins" in small businesses to "absorb" the sort of size-increase of the "Rock" that you imagine.

This "fooled" or "cognitive dissonance" exists only in your own mind. It is not a reflection of the realities of running a small business.

But, this thread has devolved into just another sweeping politard thread having little or nothing to do with the OP. I've expressed my opinion on "why it happened," so I have nothing more to contribute.

Have fun, lads! :-)
