there and back again
Sep 16, 2016 - 05:30pm PT
Just tuning into The Taco and was shocked to hear this. Not surprised, because the last time we talked he was not doing well. Just getting to know him too.

I have to be in Flagstaff on the 30th. So I'll just leave from there. Ron/Stahlbro let me know how I can help.

----Update

The location for Robert's memorial has been confirmed as Wally's Horse Ranch (Thanks so much Wally!!) on October 29. We will probably start gathering around 3:00pm, with remembrance and slide show starting around 4:00pm. More details to follow.

Wally's Ranch is just off Quail Springs Rd in Joshua Tree. From the 62 in town, take Park Blvd toward the park and it eventually turns into Quail Springs Rd. Parking will be along Quail Springs, and there will be balloons, signage and Robert's friends guiding people to the location on the Ranch. We plan to have lighting along the path, but please plan on bringing lanterns or headlamps and chairs if you have them.

We are really looking forward to having great time celebrating Robert's life with family and friends. If you have any more pictures to share, please email them to me or post them and I will pull them down.

Peace to everyone.

Thank you for your kind words and good thoughts Lynne.

Its still surreal that I'll never see him again, and that today it's already 4 months since I had to let him slip away.

I will always cherish the memories of him, these photos are just some of them....

Hilde and StahlBro,

Howdy! I'm back in San Diego and eager to help. Who do I talk to about helping with the food or what and where ever you all need me.

I will arrive Friday to help.....I can come earlier if needed. Please let me know.
Love to everyone. Cheers, lynnie

Edit: I have medium plates, bowls and plastic knives, forks and spoons for @ 50 people if needed. Plates would hold desert or side dish.

Hi Lynne,

Welcome back, and thanks for offering to help. Ron and Rob are leading the planning. i'll let the food guys know you are willing to help. Can I give them your email and/or phone number?

They are both friends of mine, one a co-worker the other a former co-worker. If you are busy with other things please don't feel that you have to volunteer, if you want to I'm sure they will be glad for the help.

I look forward to see you again.

Hi Lynne,

That's great. I will email Joe and Karl (the food guys). I do not have your phone number for some reason but found two numbers on Robert's computer. Perhaps one is landline and the other cell?
I'll pass that on as well.
