The only votes that count are the electors, and they haven't voted. Wouldn't that be an interesting development?

LOL... no point in continuing. You guys drank the Kool-aid, and now you're trying to spit it back up. Sadly, it's in your veins. The divide is deep and real. And you will not honestly contemplate the many ways that you brought this result on yourselves. Instead you cling to a shred of a percent of a vote that our system HAS rendered irrelevant, and that's your notion of a "win," so that you can say that "we" actually wanted Hillary.
Pity, because we would be stronger together. The media, the parties, and the mega-corps/banks are our true enemies. And they keep us fighting each other in ridiculously petty ways.

I read the article you linked, but will always remain skeptical about a military coup in our United States (hell, even McArthur didn't try that when he had an army right there near Washington in the 1930s).
But it'll sure get interesting if/when he orders the military to commit war crimes (as he has promised to do, and as some of his supporters seem to want).
"I was just following orders" is, after all, not an excuse for committing war crimes is it?

What happened to the 25% of government workers that claimed they would quit if Trump was elected.

My niece posted something a few days ago on her Facebook. It seems she logged int a local voting site(official for her county) to find her polling place, and it says she is registered as a Republican. It ALSO indicated, on her voting history, that she voted Republican in the state(Ohio)Primary. She is not a stupid person, and didn't accidentally vote Repub. She has always been a registered Democrat, and voted for Bernie Sanders
She included a screen capture, and though it doesn't have her identifying information, I don't see any reason this person would spread misinformation.
She has never registered as a Repub. She contacted the Board and received an email that said "....you are correct about your party affiliation. It was an error on our part and has been corrected. We apologize for this error." She posted a screenshot of that too.
So...there is at least one person whose vote was "somehow" not what she says she voted. Yeah it was the Primaries...but the record reflects an incorrect vote.
Before anyone gets their pants in a snag, I am not suggesting the Trump/Clinton election was hacked or tampered with. Although it would certainly explain how Trump won...(troll bait)

Michael Moore said Trump winning would be the biggest "f*#k you" to the elite in American history. Maybe the elite will say "f*#k you" back and the electors will elect who they want.

Certainly a logical possibility. You think Americans are going to stand for that and for Clinton then coming back from her concessions speech to say, "Oh, oops, I guess I shouldn't have conceded after all, because I've just been handed it by faithless electors"?
If the electors want to raise the specter of civil war, I guess that would be an interesting move, a move that would gut a generation's faith in a process and have a huge portion of this country saying "f*#k you back" to the electors.
Tensions are high enough that it would be the height of stupidity for liberal electors to risk everything, including at a minimum the continued existence of the electoral college, that way. But, you know, who can say? It doesn't seem to cohere with their own best interests.
We have a process. To the best of our knowledge it was faithfully followed. Even Clinton urged people to accept the result. It's no longer "the result" in any meaningful sense if the electors go faithless on us.
And Clinton would be an idiot to take up such a tainted presidency; she would be powerless at every turn, not to mention that such an act would put the crowning touch on the perception that most Americans have that she is untrustworthy.
Yeah, a logical possibility. But I think not a real possibility. Who can say, however?

This morning my wife was crying, and my daughter and my granddaughter were crying. My wife left for work dressed all in black.
I apologized personally this morning to every woman that I saw in public places and at my business for the egregious actions of the electorate yesterday. I'll be bringing my wife flowers tonight.
Nothing hurts my heart more than when people hurt my wife or any of the women in my family. I take it upon my myself personally, and feel the need to kick the asses of the millions of bullying childish boy/men who voted for Donald Trump who that think they are civilized men and who have no true respect for human equality or any real understanding of the definition of equitable integrity.
I'm sorry, but I also believe that the women who voted for Trump have only done so because they have been brainwashed and bullied by their parents and husbands into voting for him. They have also had a nationalist, phony, white supremacist, and hypocritically religious right wing philosophy pounded into their heads by their churches, social groups, and the extremist talk radio dip shits (you know who I'm talking about).
Hillary Clinton was not in any way, shape, or form a criminal. She did not do anything any worse than any other politician in America. I know of no person that has worked harder or is more qualified to have become our president. She and her husband have been vilified by the right wing Republican party for over 30 years in a mindless, wretched, and tax wasting witch hunt, which has set back democracy and the progression of America, the world, and all of human evolution.
Donald Trump was ushered in by a portion of the electorate which has serious mental and psychological deficiencies.
These white men of all physical ages, are despicably misogynist and adolescent in their mental maturity. They have fooled the women of their lives, wives, mothers, daughters, and others into believing that they are good, upstanding decent citizens.
These white men of America who voted for Trump and all of the other Republican candidates, are the classic examples of people who do not respect women.
The lie that they have perpetuated (passing as citizens) has served to set back the cause of women's equality in America by a huge margin. It is their blatant hatred of women, their bullying and derogatory treatment of women, and their sexist objectification of the female of our species that has become the hallmark of a sexist malaise.
This disease of the male mind is the utmost form of stupidity. For thousands of years men have enslaved, murdered, and otherwise abused women. And now America, at the helm of a serial abuser, has become the free world equivalent of a sharia law nation and an example for the victimization of women worldwide.
So sleep tight, man of America. If you were so fortunate to have voted for Hillary Clinton as I have done, then you can rest your weary eyes and catch up on some well needed Z's with impunity.
But if you have the mental midget kind of mentally of all those men who voted for Donald Trump, continuing the vilification and abuse of the fairer species by doing so, then sleep well fair princes, for you might find that your spouse has anointed you with the red ear to ear smile on your throat before sunrise, or at the very least you might wake painfully and abruptly to find that you've been justifiably castrated.
For if I were a woman, and my spouse sold me out so shamelessly and heartlessly as to vote for Donald Pinhead, I would drug the fool at breakfast, fly a helicopter out over the Pacific, and shove his castrated ass out over shark infested waters to watch, as he gargled on his blood, and thrashed his way to below the churning red surf.
This probably will be my last post here for awhile. The supertopo forum, which I started reading and posting on a couple of years ago, I thought would be full of cool climbers with progressive political philosophies, but has turned out to be unevenly stacked towards a group of conservatives that somehow got the idea in their heads that they knew what the f*#k was going on in this world. Too bad they don't believe in evolution or they might begin to understand what kind of Neanderthals they really all are.
All the websites to apply for Canadian citizenship have crashed due to high traffic so when possible, my wife and I will be applying for citizenship there, and will plan to buy property and relocate our business to somewhere in western Canada where flights to visit our remaining family in California will be possible.
In the interim we will be supporting a secession movement by California from the union, or some form of Cal-exit legislation which of course will soon be put to the voters here.
