And Hillary is up by 6 points in national polls, it will just go higher.

Only if you cherry pick the polls.

If you use the RCP 4 way average, she is up by 1.6 - margin of error territory.

I for one would like to see the (very) small tax on stock sales. Put a lower limit on the volume and tax the stupid computer traders.

Esco, you and a lot of other people in this country constantly forget that laws are enacted for reasons. For example, the BLM that the 'ranchers' protest about today was formed at their behest, as the range was being over grazed with no controls, leading to range wars. Ask any of those anti-government dudes about this history and they have no clue.

Same for things like food inspection, drugs, monopolies, air quality, etc. etc. etc. The so called death tax was enacted because a very small group of people were gaining control of all the wealth of the country, as is happening again. Government actually does a lot of good stuff that serves the general welfare. Libertarians ignore the tragedy of the commons. Know what that is Esco?

"A 65 percent estate tax over 5 million
How many small buissnessss does that destroy !!!
What do you think a small factory and some land is worth ?
Say it's worth 8 Million plus other assets - that's nothing !
You have to come up with 2 million in taxes ?
What happens to the 35 employees ?"

Not the sharpest pencil are you?

http://www.cnbc.com/2016/09/22/clinton-gives-nod-to-sanders-with-65-top-estate-tax-rate.html

It is for estates of billion dollars or over.

"Know anyone with a business , Bob ?
You should talk to them - get the real reality of what this means .."

Yes several, I ran several.

You were wrong on your post, the tax was not on 5 million but but one billion. You never admit when you are wrong.

You are wrong on her tax rates...again.

Raise income taxes on the wealthiest
Clinton's plan would make the tax code even more progressive than it is today.
She would impose the so-called Buffett Rule, requiring those with adjusted gross incomes over $1 million to pay a minimum of 30% of their income in taxes.
On top of that, she would impose a 4% surcharge on adjusted gross income over $5 million.

Do the math, that is 34 percent.

Cost of the "S&L crisis". In 1996, the General Accounting Office estimated the total cost to be $160 billion, including $132.1 billion taken from taxpayers. No estimate of beneficiaries (maybe 10,000?).

SNAP benefits cost $74.1 billion in fiscal year 2014 and supplied roughly 46.5 million Americans with an average of $125.35 for each person per month in food assistance.

"But let's look at food stamps ..since Bob posted another link ..
Some actual reality
Notice not some left wing look site"

The sad part is that you have no understanding why a large percentage of those folks are on food stamps.

Radical: I am impressed by your rightous anger & how well you express it, but I suspect you & the old white guys who are so angry, are going to stay that way past the election.

Yeah, & according to that notorious left-wing newspaper, The Wall Street Journal, Hillary did propose an estate tax today:

She would impose a 50% rate that would apply to estates over $10 million a person, a 55% rate that starts at $50 million a person, and the top rate of 65%, which would affect only those with assets exceeding $500 million for a single person and $1 billion for married couples.

http://www.wsj.com/articles/hillary-clinton-proposes-65-tax-on-largest-estates-1474559914

Works for me. As an ex-small business owner with 15 employees, my estate was not going to matter to the continued existence of the business, since it was a S-Corp. Anyone who has a decent-sized business and hasn't sought tax & liability protection as a S-Corp or a LLC hasn't been listening to their accountant.

And escopeta, lad! Re your comment about something you seem to care about, but few here do:

It really hurts you people to have your nose rubbed in it don't it?

From your "lifestyle posts" it appears you think you are living the "gud" life. Why the hell are you so angry too?

Oh! You've been telling us why. Your explanations are obtuse & weak, but very snarky.

Apparently, in addition to a lesson on the difference between debt and deficit we are going to need to have a corollary class on the difference between COST and CAPITAL LOSS.

Good grief.

Esco says, because he doesn't know what it is and is too lazy to find out for himself (which he insists we all do with his sh#t postings):

Tell us the story about the tragedy of the commons again daddy. Puuuleezzz!

The tragedy of the commons, Esco, is this (and I take this directly from www.investopedia.com/terms/t/tragedy-of-the-commons.asp):

The tragedy of the commons is an economic problem in which every individual tries to reap the greatest benefit from a given resource. As the demand for the resource overwhelms the supply, every individual who consumes an additional unit directly harms others who can no longer enjoy the benefits.

This is why libertarians and their free for all will fail. Understand?

Its funny how the mere mention of the slightest reduction in government is met with speech like "free for all" and "anarchy".

And then you turn around and claim you aren't a bunch of statists.

You're like a bunch of children:

I ain't no sadist, but reducing the size of government is just all right with me.

Let's also reduce the size of some of the things Govt has produced.

I wonder which one is the biggest? It seems like a good place to start.

Anyone here collecting social security or medicare?

Hillary did propose an estate tax today:

Clearly the answer to getting around that estate tax is to start a non-profit slush fund.
