I just received this from the Wall Street Journal
THE WALL STREET JOURNAL News Alert
Trump Dealt With a Series of People Who Had Mob Ties During His Business Career
GOP nominee Donald Trump, as a builder in New York and Atlantic City decades ago, sometimes dealt with people who had ties to organized crime, a Wall Street Journal examination of his career shows.
They included a man law enforcement called an agent of the Philadelphia mob; a gambler convicted of tax fraud; a union leader found guilty of racketeering; and a real-estate developer convicted in a stock scheme that involved Mafiosi.
Trump said he either had only cursory relationships with them or wasn't aware of their ties at the time, calling himself "the cleanest guy there is."

I'm not sure that "most honest" has any more meaning than, say, "least pregnant," but neither Hillary nor Donald rate high in the honesty department. Vote for the cadidate that does.
Put a climber in the White House. Vote Johnson/Weld

At this point in Trump's campaign, that kind of revelation is petty.
The dude's campaign has contacts with Russia & Putin...of course he'd have mob connections back home. Pffft.

Indeed.
Trump scores higher on the "Pants on Fire" scale than Hillary. But the numbers show, not much difference in the public perception.
The election, will ultimately be determined by the 20% or so, that don't vote partisan or ideological. They'll be disgusted by their choices, characterize the choice as between two nyc rich white liars, but the reality is, they'll have to choose one or the other or stay home.

Seriously, guyman?
I've watched bluering make regular, constant slurs like that for years...and there are several other Republitards here that do the same thing. And they are far from liberals.
APP.... 100% coward. We Know who Blu IS and he is not a cheap shot/troll who signs up just to make a F-uck up comment...
come on now, you surely can see the difference, or was that you?

If that guy had made the same comment to me ('lib'), I doubt you'd have had the same reaction.
I don't care if someone's identity is known or not...comments like that are bullsh#t. And bluering has been doing that sh#t CONSTANTLY for years.
Your line of indignation is drawn pretty subjectively, guyman.
Edit:
And do you really think I would create a false avatar just to say that?

Or perhaps, this was a Trump plant to help make sure he doesn't end up as POTUS and preside over disaster. I don't know if you remember a Saturday Night Live sketch in 1991, after the first Gulf War, when G.H.W. Bush seemed unbeatable. That sketch purported to be a debate among then-leading Democrats running for President (Clinton was not yet on the radar), each trying to make sure he didn't get the nomination so he wouldn't go down in flames in the general election.
The guy playing Mario Cuomo kept saying, "Remember I have mob connections!" The funniest though, was the actor plying Gephart, who said, slowly, "I'm just too stupid to be President."

John, that's black helicopter kinda thinking. It's odd to see it coming from you....but then again, as weird as this campaign has been, maybe the facts will be stranger than anything we've imagined.

No, not you. You are brave enuf to say what you really feel, I applaud that level of honesty.
But Pevets62 is, I bet, a "liberal" or at least has liberal tendencies. Don't you think????

Only because he/she was antagonizing bluering. If it had been aimed at Lib, the guess would be a Republitard. That's just the way it works. Both sides are capable of shitty, toxic tongues.

Johnson doesn't have to lie about anything because he has literally nothing to lose because he isn't going to be president. Also, "being honest" isn't much of a positive trait if what you're being honest about is codifying white privilege which is the central thesis of libertarians.

The Hitler speech was interesting. Without saying anything but generalities about German exceptionalism he had the crowd whipped into a frenzy.

Woman is man: The f*#king bathrooms. This is the largest insanity launched onto us in while.
A dude with a dick who claims to be a woman can go piss with the girls. Really? That is insane, by all measures of common civility.
Bluering,
When my son was 10, we went to Magic Mtn up in yer hood.
First thing through the busy gate is to go to the bathroom.
The womens was closed for cleaning and all those desperate ladies where patiently waiting outside.
My son and I strolled into the mens sans lineup, and as we were done our biz, 3 teenage girls came out of the stalls and casually walked to the sinks and washed their hands and talked teenage like.
All the guys including us were kinda shocked.
But these girls really didnt seem to care what man was shocked at all.
When they talked it was French, not the Quebec kind.
Apparently teenage girls from France dont give a hoot about your bathroom issues in free america, and didnt seem to feel afraid or gawked at.
huh.

I think I like this new thread direction, Russ. Mixing climbing and politics with topics in both that could lead to further, um, discussions. Let the entertainment continue.

The electorate has proven that it wants a liar.
They will get one,no matter who.
We live in a culture of lies. We watch adds we know are lies. People lie to their children. The kids know it, Mom knows it, but it's cool. They like what they hear.
People align themselves with the lie or liar which suits their concept of reality. Some people swallow the lie hook, line, and sinker. In politics, each candidates "base" supporters fall into this group. Most "undecided" voters are still struggling to choose which liar is more appealing. The lesser of two evils, as they say.
So when you find a friend you can trust, invite them into you life. Return that trust. Make your own little chink in the wall of deceit.
