Nice thought delhi dog. I met him a few times over the years and always seemed a solid guy (apart from the climbing). Anybody know exactly where he passed? I'm out on the trails in the Santa Monicas alot and it would be nice to leave a token there where his spirit passed on.

Wow that is truly shocking and very sad to hear. After that incredible recovery it just felt like nothing could stop him from life. Very sincere condolences to friends and family. Scott was always a cool dude to me and I respected him very much. The story he posted about his ascent of Southern Bell remains one of my favorite climbing stories. Great writer as well as climber. Rest in peace Coz.

Sadness, shock, denial. It cannot be true. I miss you already, friend, grateful to have shared many good climbs and times. Journey well. But really wish I had another chance to hang out in person with you. Tears.

I don't know what to say. We had some spirited discussions , maybe you would call them arguments . But we always carried on the friendship. You were the real deal, my friend, a force of nature. You are missed already. It's 12:43 am and I can't sleep. I can't say goodby, so long for now, will have to do. I was talking with E tonight. He said our little group was getting smaller, " So many are gone now...our little group is diminishing too quickly".
My world is a little less bright, a little less interesting tonight . My thoughts go out to family and friends .

didn't know the guy.

didn't even agree with a lot of his opinions on st.

but damn this makes me sad.

it's obvious given the wake that he left, both in terms of his routes and the people that he influenced, that he cared very deeply about climbing.

and so to see a fellow member and leader of my tribe go through everything that he did with his accident, then make it as far back as he did and now this...

wo/man sometimes life sure can be brutal... and sometimes i'm not sure who has it worse: those that don't survive or those that do...

and so all i have to offer is condolences to his family and friends.

while it's trite now, i hope someday you can take some comfort in the wake that he left behind him.
