hey there say... wow, that was great... i had to go sleep in the middle of it, though...
they are going to 'crown' the winner now... john john florence...
i tried to take a few pics of the waves, with my camera, from the computer...
saw a LOT of it, though...
wow, wow, wow!!!
thanks so much for the alert!!!
OH YES!! and NO ONE WAS lost!!
yes, climbski2... whewwwwww, thank god...
*forgot which guy, had a torn calf muscle, he thought,
due to falling and being caught somehow?? in his leash...
but he got free...
and there was a few other scary wipeouts, of course, but all
made it in!!
and they had a great team of course, of live guards, etc...
out there on the machines...

hey there say, all... for those that did not see it...
here are some pics... from my computer... :)
not very good, but they give the feel of it, and they are my pics,
so i don't think i have to worry, if i used them:
SOME i just showed the surfers...
BUT SOME are to just give an idea for the WAVES out there...
or how the waves broke...
they are fuzzy... those you can just pass over them...
it's just fun, to GIVE folks an idea,
in ONE easy spot here...

Had to watch some recaps on Youtube last night - still stoked, especially about those geezers
Ross and Clyde and Kelly's unbelievable tube. Ross definitely got jobbed on his first ride of
the first heat with a 22 on a phukking 45' monster. So what if he got gobbled up from behind?

Hey Neebs.. I don't know if you have Netflix, but if you do look up "storm surfers" The guy who came in 2nd (50 yr old Ross Clark-Jones) is a star of that film. It's a beautifully filmed story of a season of chasing big waves.

I saw on the news that at Sunset elementary school, a couple miles up the road from Wiamea Bay, only half of the five hundred kids showed up.
