BUMP

Not sure if people fully get how the donating works with this fundraiser.

You don't just give money and get a thank you card.
You go shopping.
Need a backpacking stove, climbing shoes, etc
Buy it here.
You'll pay full retail but all Money goes to the film.
Win win.

Good luck- this project looks epic.

This film has been much to long in coming, our sport owes a great deal to the Climber Tom Frost. It always puts a smile on my face if I open my mail box and I see a FrostWorks Logo on a letter!

Thank you Dogtown!

Tommy Caldwell shared this on Facebook today! We are thrilled!

"Get on board to help make this movie happen!"

"Tom is my biggest hero from that era for sure, and that's basically shaped by my personal interaction with him. He's been such a humble and inspiring person; he has got to be one of the most good-hearted people I've ever met in my life."-Tommy Caldwell

What these folks need is some good old fashioned networking so that as many people hear about this effort as possible so take a look at the perks and spread the word. At the minimum print some fliers and post them where climbers hang out in your area.

I have been sending out requests that look like this to make outreach as easy as possible for everyone.

Hey Tom Frost fans,

Some very capable friends at Flatlander Films have an Indiegogo fund raising effort going for the next 30 days to produce their documentary about Tom Frost. Please forward this information along as you see fit.

For discussion and a wealth of information on this project and how to support it please refer to this dedicated thread on the supertopo.com climbers forum.

http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/2704273/Tom-Frost-documentary-needs-your-support

To print a flier to post or share please go to this link

The Press Release can be found here:
https://www.sugarsync.com/pf/D8954242_05020645_936564

Please help this important project come to fruition by networking and spreading the word so that interested folks can pitch in and help make it happen. This is a grassroots effort so please do what you can to let the climbing community and the greater outdoor community become aware of it.

Tom Seawell and Jeff Wiant are capable, trustworthy and committed to the quality of this film so please dig deep and help them finish this valuable work.

You will not regret doing so and may pick up some fantastic perks as a bonus for your support so check it out and donate today.

“No movie has been released, including very recent films, that truly capture the essence of the golden age. The time to tell the story correctly is now. There is no tomorrow for telling the story accurately.”

Do your holiday gift shopping early right here and support a worthy project at the same time.

If you haven't checked out the indiegogo list of attractive perks lately take the time to do so as sponsors have been supplying outdoor gear and other fabulous merchandise in support of Flatlander Films.

Tom and Jeff have been working on this documentary film at their own expense thus far and really need robust community support to finish this important film.

Tis' the season to do your part and them Flatlanders will do theirs.

Steve Grossman... Did you ever think this interview would happen?

"You have a better chance to move Mount Everest than to get Yvon on camera for your film" Tom Frost

This film has brought great men that did amazing feats in nature & in commerce back together again in subtle yet powerful ways. This is the underlying emotional thread of this film.

Because they are neutral players, Seawell and Wiant have been able to get access to folks like Chouinard that would otherwise be impossible so their interview footage is unique in character and content.

If you want to see this wonderful material then step up and invest in the work that they are doing.

Alex Honnold - Some friends of mine are making a film about Tom Frost, the legendary climber and photographer from the Golden Age of climbing in Yosemite. Tom's did several visionary first ascents on El Cap, and even recently he came out to the Nose when Hans Florine and I set the speed record. He's a super nice guy who's climbing influenced a whole generation. I'm looking forward to seeing his life on the big screen.

Chris McNamara - "One of my personal heroes. Great climber, innovator and one of the nicest people I've ever met"

I am happy to announce that the North American Climbing History Archives (NACHA) has entered into a Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement with Flatlander Films in support of the Tom Frost documentary.

As an educational 501c3 nonprofit, NACHA is offering a tax deduction for cash donations of $500 or more and approved donations of goods and services of $500 or more. If you would like to support this worthy project as described then please contact me directly to make arrangements.

Checks are the preferred method of payment as there is no service charge involved to diminish the donation but I am also able to accept Paypal and credit card payments should that be necessary.

NACHA sponsorship extends beyond the indiegogo find raising drive and will be in place as long as it benefits Flatlander Films. NACHA was created to support precisely this kind of historical project so we are very psyched to see this come to fruition as Tom Frost has a lot to say to climbers of all ages.

Yosemite's CAMP 4 to be BULLDOZED!

That was the headline in 1997. While The Sierra Club, American Alpine Club, Access Fund and others stood by, Tom Frost stepped in and took the lead. He personally financed the lawsuit that saved Camp 4 from development. He rallied your peers and your mentors to do the unthinkable: take on the National Park Service in court. And win!

To help us tell this story contribute today on Indiegogo!: http://igg.me/at/frostdoc/x/10880133

We all have Tom Frost to thank for the simple privilege of being able to walk through the boulders of Camp 4 and the open spaces between it and Swan Slabs without dormitory buildings and luxury cabins defiling that wonderful area of Yosemite Valley.

If you appreciate this freedom then seriously consider supporting Flatlander Films and their documentary honoring and illuminating the extraordinary life that Tom Frost has led. Everyone can afford to help so please pitch in as you can and let's make this film happen folks.

This is the time and these are the people to tell this remarkable story in a way that we all will be proud of. Invest in our heritage and get involved while this fund raising drive is still going on.

If Tom had not chosen to act in our collective best interest when nobody else would step up then we would be living with the unfortunate result. Plain and simple. Do your part as Tom did his so very honorably and at great personal expense. It is the least that we can do to repay him now for his noble sacrifice then.
