The Chief (Rick), Burchy (Adam) and I had a plan to go out there and do your route finally, and I had some clusters come up at work. Still want to do it and to look around up there. Plus the Croft/Rands routes on Merriam. That area is sweet. Liked it a lot when my friend and I did the North Buttress of Merriam. Sierra may not carry the “major range” title, but it is my favorite place on earth by far. Spent the whole summer mostly in different drainages around middle fork of Kaweah River and have a whole bag of things I still want to do JUST out there. We are so lucky to be relatively close...anyway, it will happen! Have the saved topo for White Peregrines on my cell phone! :)
Hope your knee is improving Adam! Any sort of climbing together should be good!

Take a bolt kit. The last three anchors need a backup bolt.
Also... the eastface has sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much potential from some very clean badass lines. My days of doing such are done. BUT you...
I guarantee ya V, it will be some of the best stuff you have yet done. Brutus thought so.

Seriously, would love to climb it. If the summer stays around for a bit, I may, if friends I have plans with are ok with it. Wanted to climb there since I first saw the photo on the page you had up on SP. That's a long wait!
By the way, what is the summit pinnacle like? Did you guys put some sort of a register there?
Sorry we are hijacking the thread Adam! You already know how awesome you are though, Mr. Narcissist :)

The kids are taking over and getting it done. It is as it should be. Always have appreciated the Burchman. Cracks me up when you all are grinding the hate teeth and banning him. Then he shows up again with the a different name/same shtick all unrepentant which is even funnier. Posts more (and better) climbing content than his detractors. Haha
Weston: HURR HURR HURR 5.3D. HO MAN, LOL!!!!! Get it. Drag The Chief along so he can re-live some moments and to have political discussions as he belays you all.

Wow, if dredging up old threads and deleting posts makes me a dbag, what would you call me if I was REALLY a jerk?

Relax - I'm saying we're both d-bags.
Deleting posts is the mark of a wimp - FYI. Your choice, nobody makes you do it or not do it.

Trust me Burch, with some of the opinions and threads I have posted on this forum, you can hardly call me a wimp. I am probably in the 1/2% minority here. :)
To be honest, I like old threads. They are fun to dredge up once in a while. I don't know how to search for the oldest threads generally, but I can search for MY oldest posts through my profile. Since I have been on this site(off and on) since 2001, that is how I can look for old threads. And yes, since they are under my profile, I have usually posted in them.

Explain your motivation for deleting your post that bumped some 6 year old thread about you, so it looks like you didn't bump it.

I've seen a couple that you've done it on already, just happened to randomly be paying attention.
It's okay - the internet has a weird way of making grown men act like teenage girls. You aren't alone. Just go with it.

Jody, best to just stop while you're ahead. First, this ^^^ doesn't make any sense. Second, you've wandered into the Burch Zone. You aren't the first, and you won't be the last.
What is the Burch Zone, you may ask? It's not a happy place. Basically, it occurs when someone does or says something that I think is ridiculous. I call them out. They realize they're wrong, but try to make excuses/go on the attack/change the subject. It never ends well for the victim of the Burch Zone. Well, not that I can recall, and I have a pretty good memory.
You're better off just dropping it and heading off to a politard thread or something similar. Or maybe post up some more beautiful pictures. That's a quality bump we can all enjoy.
EDIT: Just saw you started a "wimp" thread. Way to double down on looking like a nancy, Jody. Are you Avery's North American Counterpart?

You done growed up Burch- but you're still a fűcking kook.
As far as the Burch Zone goes- it's kind of like a bad nitrous trip.
Just remember it's not real and it'll be over in 30 seconds.

I was feeling like hell so LC took the lead on that pitch. He's a good man. Turned out to not be that bad of a pitch, but the beginning was a bit runout and the feet uninspiring.
