Like, the way Trump picked a specific target, when he picked out Mexicans as the illegal alien scourge that is destroying America?
Mexican immigration to the United States is declining. Asian immigration is increasing, and it is a bigger issue because the Chinese government has already demonstrated a propensity for industrial espionage and internet disruption. Trump is full of sh#t, to put it mildly and politely.
Trump is a rabble-rouser, and Trump's xenophobic and bigoted rhetoric has roused the rabble. Before, it was physical assaults at his campaign rallies. This time, the roused rabble was a homophobic gunman.
Don't delude yourself. When Trump talks, people listen. And when Trump says, Get rid of the different people, low-intelligence idiots take action.
The same thing happened when Carly Fiorina promulgated a contrived and fraudulent video tape purporting to show "baby parts" being sold by a Planned Parenthood clinic. A semi-sentient idiot then started shooting people at a clinic, and later told the police, "No more baby parts".
The tone, and not the specific message is what sub-IQ people connect with. Trump knows this. This is how he has gained so much traction in his campaign, while spewing complete nonsense and ridiculous lies. It is the tone, and not the specifics that are inciting his followers to action.
Trump is a dangerous person, because he has learned how to gain the adoration of the mindless mob, and he has been able to steer them in the same way that a rancher steers a herd of cattle into a slaughterhouse feedlot.
The same concerns about Julius Caesar led to his assassination 2000 years ago.
Look it up.

Donald Trump is a sick little man.
He insults everyone and loves to go after certain groups of people.
He has been warned, and admonished by the RNC.
And yet he continues on, ignorantly thinking he is invincible.
There won't be any more warnings from them.
If he does not change very quickly any support he has will be gone.
And he will get what he seems to want, a humiliating and lasting personal loss.

Among most of the 17 million people that voted for him in the primary, not true. He has been spewing exactly the kind of hate, anger and fear they're craving to hear.
"OMG, someone finally sees as I see, and thinks as I think!! He IS BRILLIANT!!" Just look at the kind of holy love he's getting from Klimmer, supposedly an educated person.
Edit for wilmot: I don't think there is anyone who denies that Islamic Terror is a problem. Just upthread I said FVCK radical Islam, the Saudi azzholes that spread it, and FVCK ISIS. I will add FVCK Sunni Wahabism. This is coming from a guy who worked and lived in KSA for four years. That is a far cry from hating all Muslims though. And THAT is what Trump is selling to the uneducated.
